    I went to Visa office in Phuket and got an additional 60 days (I was told by the Farang at front of Q that I would only get 7 days but the interview lady looked at my passport and interviewed me and gave 60days. cost 1900 Bht

    Yes you can get 60 days based on married to Thai I have done this before on a 30 day visa on arrival.

    But only if the wife is present and the required documentation is provided.

    Tourist visas are easily obtained from a Thai Embassy/ Consulate in Australia..

    To work in Thailand requires the prospective employer to apply for the Work Permit in Thailand.

    A non-B visa can be obtained from a Thai Embassy/ Consulate in one of the nearby countries. The application must be supported by documentation supplied by the employer.
