  1. thanks everyone for your replies!

we will be arriving on finnair flight from helsinki 30. march. our tickets say terminal 2.

i've been looking at nok air flight schedules but unfortunately they only have them until 25.3. i hope they would put the later dates there soon as well. we had this same problem with 1-2-go some time ago :o

thai airways policy sounds nice and flexible and they do have two flights we might be able to take.

    i will keep looking... :D

  2. Hi all!

me and my bf are flying to bangkok in the end of march, final destination chiang mai. our flight is scheduled to arrive at the international terminal in bangkok airport at 13.40 and from there we should catch the connecting flight to chiang mai. our options are to take the first available flight (one-two-go's flight) that departs the airport at 15.15 or to take the later one (also one-two-go's) that departs 17.50. obviously we would prefer not to wait too long on the airport but we really don't want to miss the flight either. so if we did take the first flight, it would leave us about 90 minutes to get off the first plane, get our bags and make it to the domestic terminal. do you think this is realistic? the airline person we contacted told us that the check-in counter will be closed 40 minutes before the flight departs.

    thank you all in advance!

  3. in finland, where i live and have lived all my life, guys never (and i mean never), unless they are drunk or foreigners or very strange, hit on girls on the streets or pretty much anywhere else except bars. it is a very different environment and culture in here than in asia (fact that my bf has been reminding me a lot recently). even if you look like a supermodel in here you are most likely to be left alone, except, once again, in bars.

so i would do most of the things you mentioned in your post in here, or at least i wouldn't feel that afraid walking around late alone. not saying it's a good idea anywhere, but i have done it in here and never got harassed by anyone.

  4. thanks a lot for your reply.

no, i wasn't thinking of wandering around by myself late at night :o . the biggest reason why i asked this was because in finland, where i live and have lived all my life, guys never (and i mean never), unless they are drunk or foreigners or very strange, hit on girls on the streets or pretty much anywhere else except bars. it is a very different environment and culture in here than in asia (fact that my bf has been reminding me a lot recently). even if you look like a supermodel in here you are most likely to be left alone, except, once again, in bars.

  5. what's good about boys (or at least, in my "boy"):

the way he looks at me like there is nothing more beautiful on earth

the way he smells my hair

    him cooking me amazing meals

the way he takes care of things in an organised and calm way

the way he takes care of me

the way he takes me .... :o:D

the way he smells after taking a shower... and before he does so :D

the fact that he's mine :D

  6. i use a hair plugger, after awhile your leg feels numb so it doesn't hurt at all - unless of course you haven't done it in awhile and the hair is 1cm long or worse - makes you feel like your leg's been eaten alive by something... :o

and i did cut my fringe, or bangs, once when it was wet. afterwards it was short (extremely...) and my bf said that i looked like a 12-year-old natalie portman in the movie leon professional. never gonna do that again. now everytime i go to a hairdresser he asks me not to cut a natalie portman hair :D

  7. Hi all, I'm relatively new on this forum but been reading it with great interest since me and my bf are considering of moving to chiang mai next year. i'm from finland and he is malaysian chinese.

now what i was wondering after reading the thread of how women are being treated by men in thailand, i thought i'd ask if anyone has had bad experiences (ie. butt grabbing, asking whether you're russian etc :o ) in chiang mai. and also if someone can think of something else useful for me to know, being from a nordic country and young as well :D .

thanks to you all in advance for your replies!
