You will have no problems as long as you dont have to deal with CM Immigration ...

The owners and tennants in our Condominium have been asked to give copy of Passport + copy of Visa in Passport to Condo Manager before the end of the week. This is a request from CM Immigration.

According to Manager CM Immigration came in person and asked him to do this. They would not inform him how often this is gonna go on.

So is this only applying for CM or is it happening all over Thailand and what are they doing about foreigners in houses ?

I hand over my passport, at Kap Cheong, they key into their computer, print out a new form with the new reporting date, hand it back and I am gone. Five minutes these days, hours a few years back.

Thats gonna stop if Kap Cheong Immigration get a Visa Agency next door as is situation here in CM - Nobody should move to CM cause of this Immigration, just horrible ...

Hoi An is a great place with children. Its quiet but many Things to see and close to Da Nang.

Hoi An has 2 beaches - An Bang and Cua Dai - that easily beat any Beach in Thailand. Sunbeds cost about 45B that will be refunded if you eat lunch at the restaurant where you decide to get sunbed. Cheap great food at Beach. Food and drinks are half Price compared to Thailand and better ...

In Hoi An I would recommend Hai Au Hotel or Hoi An Garden Villas - both cost 30-40 USD incl. Breakfast, good value.

Vietnam is so much better to have Holiday in than Thailand. Thaiwife and I will probably move to Vietnam since all is just getting worse and worse here in Chiang Mai ...

Mexico...I lived and worked there for one year (in 1971/1972). Mexicans were content with what they had created for themselves. Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, Michuacan, Patzcuaro, Mexico DF, Cuernavaca, Taxco, Oaxaca, Acapulco, Chiapas...all great palces with very individualistic/incredible food....(followed by Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Columbia).

Today, Mexico is a greedy, corrupt, highly over-priced and inflated/low-value toilet...where 'gringo's' are looked upon as 'opportunities'.
