Returned there this year for a few weeks, after enjoying 2 months there in 2008. This time round through a mixture of perhaps bad personal experiences and a definite negative change to the town I had a very unpleasant stay. The place is full of scammers, corrupt cops and a dirty spoiled enviornment. I crossed the border to thailand and ko chang and it was like a different world. I will not be going back.

Been to most of thailand, and I enjoyed my 8 night trip to phuket this year but didn't like the breed of tourist hanging around Patong at all, went from there to Jomtien and Ko Chang and people were much more friendly and down to earth. Must say though in Phuket I stayed in two different accommodations, 4 nights in each and the staff were wonderful. The first day I arrived to my bungalow accommodation after a flight and minibus from BK I felt very sick, I had to jump the van and vomit while one of the passengers was being left off on route. When I landed with my bag a young girl about mid 20's asked me how I was as I looked a bit shook. she parted, then 5 min later to my surprise she came back with a can of sprite and a bag of salt, she had bought them in 7/11 and said ingest them and will clear your system and she took off again. It worked too, fair play to her

Death sentence, finish him, has he a chance of redeeming himself in this this life? slim id say. but why should we care, give the money to people who really need it.

In that situation could he have booked a cheap flight out of the country within the 30 days. Instead of forking out $300?
