  1. i dont understand why u must leave every three month ???? as far as i know and this was the case w me u need only report to immigration every three month not in and out thailand sure about that 100% this apply to the non immigrant a- o visa and if u wanna renew can do it inside thailand providing u can show sufficient funds maybe u misunderstood something with ur visa rules..and keep ur passport and all other important papers in a safe place this could be a bank fault as the best but good luck anyway

  2. I've been a farmer nearly all my life so here is a little advice. One day you pray for rain, the next day you pray for it to stop, on another day you pray for sunshine and finally you pray it don't get too hot. There is a lot of risk in farming for a living vs being a hobby farmer. Same with any investment, only send what you can afford to lose. Best of luck.

Right!...I totally agree, farming is risky and every businesses is risky too.... that's why we have to manage the risk and find the new way to make it better....

Grow ganjaa mate...easy to sell good profite and healthy too...

    i migrate somewhere else ):

    http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/en/base.php?page=fee

depends on what combo u need i found something near 200000 Bhat etc....

if it is too cheap or too good to be true walk cause its a scam 100% ....

similair to: hey cheap precious stones come inside sir one time chance of ur life ( to be cheated really big )

dump the cash in a toilett better than give it to these official gangsters...a fee of close to 200000 bhat is a legal rip off

  6. olola....reading through these various experiences I was thinking and wondering.....and remembered a small incident myself...last year did an extension of my 2 month visa in bkk.....so i had to copy the pp...but did it on a smaller peice of paper...the guy rejected imediately soundet like angry to me...well all the other process went sabai the smiling way...(once I was inside ) ...well there I met an italian who they just canceled his permanent residency for no obvious reason...the guy relocated (= nothing back home anymore not even a shoebox approx age 75 ) years ago never had any trouble till.....bommmm

it feels kind of sad what legitimite people have to go through on permanent bases when they just wanna have a quiet retirement living with their dear ones.....

housephotos inside outside .? colour of ink ?..come on this is crap completly against human rights....

  7. I am in and out of thailand soo many years and times moving around at any day of the day or at night in bangkok any area no problem...never been threatened mostly be helped never been bullied only been smiled at....conclude : I feel save here ...MUCH more than in any europaen city incl my hometown....change attitude = change reality...mind matters all...

Indeed. Wander around LA for a while or even "enlightened" San Francisco. Bangkok is nothing. Sure you have to keep your wits about you anywhere, but by and large Bangkok is pretty innocuous unless you are looking for trouble. Here in the states in the bad neighbourhoods you best not be white and you should always be looking over your shoulder. I have been lurking on this forum for a while, you Thailand bashers must come from fairy town land. There are places in the states that would grind up the worst of Bangkok.

"You best not be white"...are you joking? Do you seriously think that white people are the victims of crime (and general misery) in poor black neighborhoods more often than the black people who live there are?! If so, you're sorely deluded.

The one thing you are right about is that virtually any place in Bangkok is probably 500% safer than any large city in the US (hell, any large city in ANY country). I walk down streets alone at 3 am in Bangkok, moderately drunk, with several thousand baht and a 20,000 baht phone in my pocket without fear. Granted, I'm 2 meters tall and almost 100kg and look quite intimidating, but still...I wouldn't dare do that in any US city.

thanks for your reply Hiyall / Saastrajaa....so far I never been to the US just surprised really as I did not think it is that bad as u described it...

wondering about US citys and security after reading that in NY some major some years ago changed the whole situation and now is heaven on earth...understand the situation in the eightys ninetys but now...? or only good marketing ???

  9. Moving a foreign family to Thailand is about 0.5% of the expats.

If you take the retired couples out of the stats. ......... 0.1% with young children.

The other 99.5% are single men (and a few single women).

Anyone moving western (non-Thai) children (of school age) out here should be arrested and charged with child abuse.

Like your comment about kids....I think thai schools are thee years back to any other even in asia....
