OK, so I went a little bit crazy on my last Zenni order...ended up with two over-the-top pairs that make me look like an aging hipster who's trying WAY too hard....

BUT they will actually make nice sunglasses!

Has anyone had experience with getting their prescription specs tinted for sunglasss here in town?

I'm no expert in your dilemma whatsoever.  Nonetheless, this seems to call for the services of a good law firm that specializes in your particular issues.

You're probably already exploring that; if not, I'm sure many members here could share advice and recommendations.
