  1. I am British while my wife is Thai. We've been married for 7 years and have a son together (who holds both a U.K & Thai passport).

We want to apply for a Spanish residency visa for my wife and we are told: "Thai spouses of UK citizens will have to submit the UK marriage certificate (Court recognition) if they want to apply for EU spouse visa."

We are currently in the U.K. How do we proceed to get this?

I've searched high and low online without luck. Any advice is much appreciated.

  2. Myself (U.K citizen) and my wife (Thai) are married and we have successfully applied for 5 U.K visitor visas in the past.

This time around we want to apply for a 2-year U.K visit visa.

Just wondering - do we need to provide details of an upcoming trip (flights, accommodation etc.) as we have done in the past?

We actually don't have an upcoming trip confirmed (will be in the next few months), and are hoping to apply now while we have some downtime in Bangkok.

Any help will be much appreciated.

    Thanks.

  3. Myself, my wife and our son who holds dual nationality want to relocate to Barcelona, Spain.

I've been in touch with the Spanish embassy in Bangkok (we are based in Bangkok for now) and everything seems straight forward, apart from 2 things which are needed for my wife's E.U. citizen family visa. I'm hoping someone here has experience and can share some light on the following:

    -

    1. "Marriage registration must be certified according to the consular procedures of that EU nationals´ Embassy"

I've had a search online and read through the gov.uk and nothing is coming up on how I go about getting our Thai marriage certificate certified from Thailand.

Has anyone had experience with this? Anyone know how I register and certify this from Thailand?

    2. "Copy of certificate of “Inscripción del Registro Central de Extranjeros” (Central Registry Office for Foreigners)."

My Spanish reading ability is not that good but I'm guessing this is registering my wife at the local town hall (in our case Barcelona) to apply for her residence card.

Is this correct? If so, is there any way I can apply from Thailand? If not, any pointers on what this is and how we can apply?

    Thanks in advance.
