Half the military guys running the government are multi-millionaires. And re allowances a professor at a university once told me about his wealthy students, one who I recall has access to his own condo and a 50,000 baht allowance.

I found that many places will consider printing from usb a print job and charge more, then a straight photocopy job; found out when I had something printed at a place (I think A9 Printing) on the ground floor of the building Coffee Club is in on Sukhumvit and Ekkamai.

yoga 101 in the Ekkamai Gateway has different plans, which can bring it down to 200 baht a class; with their Beginner's Choice being 10 classes for B2,500.

Back to 7-11, I bought a Brand drink that was on promotion, but didn't understand how to get the discount. I asked one of the clerks and was told to get the discount, I needed to buy something for 45 baht first. When I took both bottles up to the counter, they put the 2nd item that was not on promo through first, then they scanned the receipt on that item that cost more than 45 baht, after that I was able to get a discount on the first item, which had the promo. The girls are not able to give the discount unless they scan a receipt, in this case for an item that cost at least 45 baht.
"Royal Thai consulate Portland oregon"
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits

added question to clearify information needed
For the past two years I had been applying for a multi-entry B visa using the Oregon consulate as it was recommended as being more "friendly" than the LA consulate (and I have to agree with others that Mary Wheeler was top notch in customer service and helpfulness). The only thing I needed other than the application was a letter from my supervisor (at a school in Calif.) stating I was working for them and did not intend to work in Thailand, only live there.
If there is a problem getting a one year B-visa at the LA consulate, is a 6-month METV the only other replacement option--in my situation? I had just signed a condo lease, so I really need a one year, not 6-month visa. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Just a follow up questions, would it be safer to just apply for the METV, as I wouldn't want to apply for the B-visa and have it get declined, than have to pay for the METV???
