In Hua Hin, for example, registration centres have been set up in the BluPort and Market Village shopping malls. Foreigners there are required to complete a form in English and submit a photocopy of the ID page of their passport.

2 days ago I spoke with them at the BluPort: Registration only for people 60+ and/or members of a risk group.

The internet speed in Thailand is only high, if you solely connect to domestic servers. When I connect to any server abroad, I will be lucky to get between 5 and 20 Mbit of the promised 1000 Mbit, that I pay True online for the fast fiber optic connection, when the speed slows down every evening, which is when I need the high speed.

That's why I terminated the contract with True early and went to AiS - but it's even worse than True.
Since I am thinking of moving to Cha-Am, I asked AiS what they can offer me there. Answer: Nothing! So I would have to switch back to True if I move. They offer - up to - 1 Gbps fibre there ...

My contract is 500/200 Mbps - AiS to AiS very fast ... AiS to Germany - worse ....

    calculating 450 Euros

    Ok, maybe a few Euros less ... But Flight (~ 100 Euros), Cambodian visa (~ 25 Euros), Thai visa (~ 35 Euros), 30 days Visa extention (~ 50 Euros), Hotel (~ 60 Euros) - that's already around 270 Euros ... plus food, transportations, ...

    overland and cross the bridge

So, I don't need to leave/entry through Airport? My informations was, I got only an 15 day visa when I use the land border. To get an 60 day Tourist visa I need to fly.

I did this a few years ago every 3 month. I fly to Cambodia, get visa, fly back and after 60 days I extend for 30 days at the Immigartion in Bangkok. That's around 450 Euros every 3 month - only for stay here.

So I wonder if there some cheaper solutions.

  5. Hello.

I'm a bit confused about the options to get an new TR visa.

Actually I have an single entry Tourist visa and this is already extended for 30 days. So I have to left Thailand on April, 29th.

So I have to flight to Cambodia, stay for 3 days, get an new TR and fly back - or is there any other (cheaper) way to get an new TR visa (60 days)? The border visa run with bus is only possible for visa with multiple entries?

    Cheers

  6. Oh my God ... so many pages of bullshit ... sounds like a lot of posters has never been in Thailand or meet an Thai girl ...

Thai girls are the same as girls in other countries - there are good ones and bad ones ... I meet a lot of Thai girls - from street girl to business girl - and never had any problems. No one try to kill me, no one steal my money and nobody broke into my apartment.

Question: you had an return ticket? Because if you have a return ticket from the airline you are boarding, they not need to ask, because they have your return ticket in their system!

Yes - I had, but not from the same Airline.

If you have a visa or re-entry permit they would not need to ask, they can see that already in your passport.

I enter Thailand with visa and also with visa on demand ... I did online check in and at the baggage check in they check only the name.

It's just my experience - maybe I just had "luck" all the time that they don't check.

I had all the time all the needed documents (return ticket and visa) but it was never checked at the check in.

  8. No airline ask me for an return ticket or an visa. I fly already to Bangkok from the following airports:

    - Spain (Mallorca)

    - Greece (Athens)

    - Austria (Vienna)

    - Cambodia (Phnom Penh)

    - Germany (Frankfurt)

    used Airlines

    - AirAsia

    - Thai Airways

    - Etihad

    - Norwegian

    - Austrian

It's interesting that so many people are asked for an return ticket or an visa.

I agree on the Samsung J7 (there's also a cheaper one with a smaller screen, a J5). I'm perfectly happy with mine. Takes 2 sim cards as well, if that is useful to you.

Samsung J7. Super bright and clear AMOLED 5.5 inch screen, battery lasts for days under normal use. Got mine with a free 32 GB memory card for under 8000.

Yes, the Galaxy J7 v2 - the 2016 version - is really nice.

I buy mine at IT-City last month for 8.900 THB - and got an Power Bank for free also. But be careful - many stores sell the J7 v1 for a cheap price ... the v2 (2016) is much better.

Last year I buy the Zenfone 5 ... absolutly worst ... screen freeze many times, battery will be very hot ... and the only answer from ASUS is: Set it back to factory settings. Zenfone never again.
