800G deposit? That's 800 giga baht = 800.000.000.000 baht.
I guess 800k (=kilo) = 800.000 baht would be appropriate for the mentioned reason.
800G will mean 800 Grand = 1 thousand for Americans, so I guess he is from the USA

I have chosen this stream: http://www.cbsnews.com/live/?ftag=CNMdaef904
It is currently on my VPN, since I put my VPN on for the Fox stream, but Fox did not work, even with VPN.
I forgot to close my VPN so therefore not sure if it will work without VPN.
I tried several others, many not work or will only do the 1-2 hours, but not 4-5 hours before.
I have been looking for 2-3 hours now (smooth streaming) and CBS seems to be showing both sides.
Don't know about USA news stations, except Fox (R) and CNN (D - Clinton News Network),
all others don't know about their objectivity. So I hope CBS will be objective.

You have your answers. That's it! It's the same inauguration on CNN or the internet.
Don't have TV or Stream Box or any other option for TV-watching, only internet (streaming) hence the question.

What time (Thailand) tomorrow is the Trump inauguration and which websites/online news stations is best to watch it based in Thailand
Please give an URL to the Live Stream Feed, not just mention Fox or CNN.
Also please try and keep it on topic and not make this another anti/pro Trump thread

You'll get over it
Regarding your question: ALL of the above

Online banking is just as safe in Thailand as anywhere back home.
It all depends on your own stupidity or common sense on how you keep your devices/computer free of viruses and such.
I use Bangkok Bank and they have good warning system for everything you do.
- Log in and immediately an email is sent to you.
- Set up a new account to transfer money to, requires confirmation by phone SMS (code input)
- Transferring money to another account requires confirmation by phone SMS (code input)
Therefore unless somebody got access to your user/pwd for the online bank and has your phone, nothing can happen with your money.

Good luck with finding a decent Thai lady on your budget.
A decent Thai partner does NOT care about your budget.

Just ordered from LAZADA.
Found out after ordering that 1 item was shipped from Thailand which received within a few days but the other items are from over seas.
Expected delivery date in almost one month.
I wish it would be easier to see that the items are coming from over seas so i can skip them.
Waiting 1 month is ridiculous.
A lot now also is indeed from China which makes searching harder, since I prefer Thai shops for COD (Cash On Delivery), not possible with aboard shops.
Don't worry it will be a lot less then a month usually 7-10 days is my experience for abroad items. The month that Lazada says is just to avoid non-delivery email-support questions, since they have no hand in the delivery.
You can see if the item is from abroad if it says on the right side COD not possible.

I have £720 a month
My experience/expanses, might give you an idea, in Pattaya (a lot cheaper than Bangkok)
£720 a month is just above 30.000baht
I use a APP on my phone to follow all my expanses, very useful.
I have a 3 story shophouse for 10.000 a month (top floor empty, will rent out some later date), electric/water 800baht a month (no air, just a good fan)
I spend about 5000-6000baht on food and (non-alcoholic) drinks, basically supermarket shopping.
- I cook myself and have a large chest freezer filled with shoppings and pre-cooked food.
- Shop cheaper in bulk at e.g Makro, Tesco. Also use several free delivery supermarkets
My cat costs about 1000baht a month.
Smokes 1500baht a month
Now and then a takeaway or delivery food 1000 a month
Other expenses Cleaning, Motorbike, Phone say 500-1000baht a month
That comes to about 21.000baht a month
I am not a bar person (anymore - after many years), but do like a beer/SangSom now and then with farang or Thai friends whom come over to my place, which comes to 3000-5000 a month.
Say total now 25.000baht a month, leaves you with 5000+ savings money a month for other important payment
Got some yearly costs like internet 8000baht a year
Full insurance 40.000baht a year
A lot of TV members here will call me a cheap charlie or say it is almost impossible to live this way. These guys just can't live here without spending thousands everyday on booze and whores. If that makes them happy fine. Been there, done that, not for me anymore.
I just live my life as I would have back home, with friends and (adopted) family.
I am very happy and content with my life here in Pattaya. Got everything I need and want.
If you need more info just PM me.

Fair, but cover your behind with a deposit and contract.
Only Thai contracts are legally bound in Thailand, not sure what the situation would be with ONLY an English written contract.
-
NEVER been short changed.
I have lived in Pattaya over 13+ years, which according to many is THE bad city.
Any supermarket, they count and recount the change for themselves and you can count along.
I am NOT a restaurant guy, but when paying the bill they come back with change and from that you decide to give a tip (or not), so why would you notice a short change afterwards if you give a tip? Yes, not paying attention, trusting the poor low paid Thai people.
In my book a story like this says more about you then the Thais.

Your 16yo wifes son doing the stealing from customer(s).
Might not be his first time doing this.
Why did he need the money? Gambling debts? Yaba, drugs?
A good 16yo does not just start stealing for nothing. Find out what is behind this before he goes totally of the rails.

Anything you where told is not valid, since it is not on paper. I assume you have a rental contract, signed by both parties, which can be used for residence certificate, which you get from any immigration office.
I have gotten those several times for a Motorbike or bank account, never needed any Thai ID with, just the contract and my passport (+ a few hundred baht)

cleaning is minimum wage work. Minimum wage is 300baht per day (8 hours, I guess)
According to the minimum wage you should have paid 300/8x1.25x2 = just under 100baht for the 2 cleaner. Nonsense of course.
I have tried several cleaning ladies (their day job elsewhere) and they all clean horribly for my farang standards. As somebody mentioned 1 dirty wet rag cleans all for the eye visible only and they still ask 500baht.
For 500baht you can hire a professional cleaning service, which even bring their own materials.
Or as suggested, do what I do, just do it my/yourself. Everyday a little, since I am not physically 100% capable of doing it all in one go.

I have tried every 90 days to try and report on line and NOTHING I cannot get past the first page on IE
Why have it if it does not work
Same here. Get to fill in the first page and when going to the next a popup message comes saying: For more information ask your local immigration office" or something like that. Never been able to get to page 2.

What ever way you can stay longer

Check the Nepal website. Every counrtry has in or email or phone.
It is always better to believe unknown strangers online on TV or FB or any social crap.

My new FB name will be "jgold"
Now I am a smart a..h... on FB

It seems reading here Chonburi has 2 immigrations offices Si Racha and Jomtien/Pattaya.
I use the Jomtien one, only passport needed.
You could also try the online option (must be at least 14 days before reporting date), but never worked for me.
Lost the URL, but sure someone here knows it.
You also have a one week (= 5 openings days) free of charged "too late reporting"
-
What exactly is required for the 90 day reporting? I assume it's for a non O based on retirement.
I received my visa from Vientiane and got the retirement stamp approved at Chon Buri Immigration, will be due for the 90 day next month.
Only your passport and get a number at the front desk. Never took me longer then 5 minutes.

it is horrible at the moment again, wish we could speed things up towards december and start with the cool season again
Wrong 90 day report date given to me, I think?

That is why I always do the 90 day report in the extra last week. That way I am sure to get my full year out of it.
