  1. I've already gone through this thread. This conference on May 14, 2024 gives answers directly from the management of the Thai revenue department and raises important points such as the risk of double taxation. It's up to you to watch it or not.
  2. The French embassy has organized a conference on May 14 on the subject of the new Thai tax regulations, in which staff of the Thai revenue department participated, among others, to answer questions from French residents in Thailand. This conference provides useful information such as the obligation for residents to make a 2024 tax declaration online before Mars 31, 2025, with fine penalty if it made after this date. (I'll let you guess how this will be monitored). Another important point is that you should not rely on the bilateral tax treaties signed between your country and Thailand to know in which country your income is taxable. For example, the French-Thai bilateral convention specifies that French pensions income are only taxed in France, while the Thai version bilateral convention indicates this pension income "may be taxed" in Thailand, thus opening the door to double taxation issues. Needless to say, negotiating with the Thai revenue department will be much more complicated than with the immigration authorities, even if you are lucky enough to be accompanied by a Thai. I'm not a tax expert, so I will not venture to answer tax questions on this forum. I suggest that you translate this video, good luck!
