The policy of Thai Embassies world wide changed recently to be as follows:-

    • Please note that we can NOT issue the Non-Immigrant visas for study Muay Thai, Dive Training, Massage School, Studying Thai Language, Meditation, etc. without a letter from the Thai Ministry of Education approving the study. In addition, Non-Immigrant visas will NOT be issued for such purposes as tourism, visiting friends, seeking employment opportunities, looking for a school for teaching or studying purposes, etc.

Thus be very suspicious of any of the above business types who guarantee you a non-Imm category ED visa, They may suddenly quote you a force-majeure reason after you have paid you fees why their supporting paperwork isn't sufficient to satisfy the officials in your home country's Thai Embassy.... :wai2:

I know all this. School simply must be accredited by Thai Ministry of Education and then everything is fine.

You can find schools like that e.g. in BKK I am not sure about CM.

    Here you have an example

For now I just found Combat School in CM which can do that but I am more into Muay Thai.

  2. Best club in London Shootfighters with different martial arts where there are many champions, many guys who fight/fought for UFC and other good organisations offer a training below 6GBP  (about 270baht)

or for 90 GBP (4160 baht everything including). London is one of most expensive city in the world. Of course you find much cheaper clubs in London than Shootfighters.

In Europe in many countries you find any martial arts below 1000 baht.

I found already a few clubs below 3000Baht but since I am in Thailand I want cheaper than that. Of course I do not find that in tourist, farangs oriented clubs like Team Quest but in real Muay Thai clubs.

Muay Thai lesson can be very cheap, everyone who has some idea about Thailand and Muay Thai knows that most Thai people who started Muay Thai were poor and Thai boxing was an escape for them from poverty.

They would never pay 8000 or 3000 baht. I lived in other parts in Thailand and trained with really top guys and I paid funny money.

For you 8000 baht is fine because you either has something to do with Team Quest or you are one of these naive farangs who really know nothing about the country they are.

You probably have nothing to do but  I kindly ask you, please do not waste my time and do not write here.

Your  reply has no value and it is not appreciated. Just go and do something valuable.

  3. Hello,

I have a question to guys who know some about Thai women.

I met a Thai lady in one of the sports club.

We have talked a few times and been out too.

I mentioned her in a diplomatic way (just in case she looked at me as a potential boyfriend)

that I am not looking for a girlfriend (at this time this is last thing I need).

She has a very nice character and is attractive to me.

She is also educated person who finished University and works for Thai government.

I do not see at all she looks at me as a walking ATM, actually she sometimes buys (I do not ask her for it) some small gifts for me like food, fruits

which is very strange to me as I read so many opinions on the Internet that Thai women like take, take...

I am fit and healthy so sometimes I have some "physical needs".

I do not know well Thai culture so my question is: if I go to bed with her will she treat me like a boyfriend later or I will be able to separate that.

To sum up, I would like to have a sexual relation with her, but I would not like to be in a boyfriend-girlfriend relation.

Is it possible here, in Thailand to do that?

I am not going to take an advantage of someone and that`s why I always say at the beginning what I can and cannot, what I want and what I do not want.

Just to be fair towards people.

  4. Hello Everyone,

I would be really grateful for your opinion.

I would like to come to Hua Hin at the end of November,

If I am not able to come in November will I have a hard time finding rental accommodation at the end of first week of January?

I am not sure how high season looks like in Hua Hin.

I will be looking for a simple, reasonable size room, preferably with a balcony within walking distance (15-20min) to the center.

My budget is about 8K baht/month.

If anyone here knows about hotels which offer monthly rentals it would be nice if you could share it. I found some hotels on this site but always something was not right..

Also, I have read (not sure if it`s true) that most foreigners who live there are people about 60 years old or more. Is it right?
