Kids left on school vans: New RTP chief orders a crackdown
bstafford214 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I don't understand your comment. You do know kids fall asleep riding and unfortunately nobody woke up the child. The drivers need to check the bus before they leave and lock someone in. Rest in peace for this child and an unfortunate preventable fatal accident and lack of safety. -
We have to remember this is how the country has always been, regardless of which type of government. You must first have common sense, leaders who think about consequences and what responsibility is needed. This country takes no action on underage drinking, smoking, riding motorcycles and wearing helmets, so why would they have any laws about underage smoking of weed? Then after making the laws, nobody will do anything, not the police, only waiting for bribes to let there child go after being caught smoking. "Young people held up placards asking for tough penalties for law breakers and protection for the nation's youth. One in a white face mask had a big marijuana leaf." I think his mom was in front of him making him do that in the photo. This will be interesting now, what will happen to the youth? 55555

Because the officials in government keep what budget money they can for their bank accounts to get rich. Too much corruption here. They also have a relative to give the jobs too and overcharge so they make big money for themselves in kickbacks. If they don't have friends or family to give the job to, then it doesn't get done most of the time.

Agree totally! If the age is that vital, there should be an age limit as well that makes it illegal to drive a motorbike. I would have just got up and taken care of myself and felt lucky I didn't get killed or hurt badly and would have reported the hazard. No need for the dramatics here, just pay attention to the many hazards here. If you are still fit at his age, then no problem. Did he pass the test for reaction time, pass the obstacle test? You can't classify everyone the same, if you are still fit and no health issues, then good on you, but don't be a fat, lazy, git with a closed mind.

World Bank said Thailand is in a significant plastic waste crisis
bstafford214 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
This is the common sense of people here and around the world who would justify this as to why it's not their job. But to throw it on the ground is an action you chose to do, which is many countries against the law. But I know their are no enforced laws here, so your preaching to the choir. -
World Bank said Thailand is in a significant plastic waste crisis
bstafford214 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Just like my Thai wife, she always has an excuse as why she can't do something. Never the positive, only the negative, or too many just plain lazy. The government should use some of the corruption money to increase the number of collections of rubbish. It will never happen here in Thailand, too many don't care and have learned to live with it.- 79 replies

World Bank said Thailand is in a significant plastic waste crisis
bstafford214 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
This is mostly due to the people here, 1. not educated, 2. don't care and 3. have no common sense. Please protect those cans and use an oversized box. If they would think first, they could see that there could be at least 2 orders packaged with all the material you see here, but that would require people to think. 5555 -
Dept of Internal Trade puts brake on Pepsi price rise
bstafford214 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Why are they doing something so stupid is beyond me. Why aren't they protecting consumers here on essential staple foods, chicken, pork, eggs and also on petrol. This is the dumbest thing going to stop a 1-2 baht increase on soda? This stuff can't be made up, it is so crazy with everything going up in price and governments aren't controlling the oil prices or companies. -

This is so true and my wife gets annoyed at me because I am always pointing out to her, "Do you see what he/she is doing wrong?", she knows and agrees it is bad, she is just tired of me complaining about it. I tell her when they learn how to drive, I will stop complaining about them. So I guess I will never stop complaining then. 555555

I always say that the right hand needs to know what the left hand is doing. Isn't there a chain of command in the government? Why do so many Thai government officials open big mouth and put foot inside, before the brain is engaged. Why one day it's the left say it's okay and tomorrow the right say no it's not. 555555

PM seeks Public Cooperation To Address Road Safety
bstafford214 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Why does he not say anything about the lack of cooperation with the police. They need to start doing their jobs. Typical response to blame the people, 5555. -
But why should I be paying tax on my personal items that I worked hard to buy and I wear them and bring them with me on my vacation? Why and how can they justify trying to force me to pay duty tax on items that are used? Because they are also top of the line corruption experts here in Thailand that are part of the elite police experts who know how to take your money. Everyday here I hear of more <deleted> on top of <deleted> and now time to leave, don't worry about any comments on this, the point is, they need proof, and the proof is because they said it was true, now pay me or we take it from you because we can.
