Siam is driveable from Sukhumvit up to the big CC Condo complex. It's closed from there for about 200M. (There is a detour around) Then driveable the rest of the way till you hit the road construction out close to the lake.

Our PEA bill has a 6 month running history on it showing units used for each of those 6 months.

Going to replant some that failed to germinate and cover them over with a dark cover to see if that helps. Also replant some not so deep into the sponge.

I have started a small hydro NTF system. Will still be working out a A+B solution yet. Have seeds started with some success to. Some have not greminated maybe due to light? But the seeds germinate fine in earth. Others have germinated but are having a hard time rising out of the foam. As suggested this might be cause the seed were set to deep. Water is not to deep as well.

I had good luck with Royal Green Oak, Mixed Oak and Grand Rapids. Ice Berg lettuce was a bust got nice big leafs but heads did not form. Also a bust was Broccoli, Cauliflower and Napa Cabbage. Got nice big plants to grow but heads failed to form. All were grown in container pots. Potting soil was from Thai Watsadu mixed with sand, cow dung and rice hulls. Some had full sun some had part sun here in Pattaya.

So out of interest. Still have been fighting to get seeds to germinate. 3 packs later I got Ice Berg Lettuce to germinate. Been trying to get Eryngium foetidum (Thai Coriander) to grow. First seeds bought in Pattaya, second batch was bought in Sukhothai. Both "AAA" seed company. Turns out they both had the same lot# and both packs will not germinate. Working on the 3rd and last batch from a different seed company. Some other seed packs of different vegtables have been just fine while some are hit and miss.
Maybe better to order direct from seed company then taking chances with display rack seeds?

Soidog2,
What are you doing for pollination? Relying on wind and insects or doing manual pollination? Not sure there is anything like fruit set here.
-
Yes hard to control what happens to the seed from the supplier till purchase. So you have no idea if they have been sun baked during delivery. The stores have been fine. Not over watering or using potting mix with chicken/cow poop.
Guess can only think that the packs of seed got over heated.
-
Just wondering how some would rate the seed suppliers like East/West, Chia Tai, Metro,Golden Mountain, AAA and any others. Been having some problems with seed Germintation. While some have been fine, others have been poor to total dud's. Yes I have been looking at the expiry dates.

Found this on the net that might help. You can play with the numbers.

If you look at this link it shows you a very simple cheap filter that seems to work well.

No better time then now to enlarge that hole. Don't have to deal with pumping it out and digging mud. Guess there is never a big enough hole to hold ampel water now adays.

In January I paid 300B for 6 wheeled trucks in Suhkothai.

Will get in touch with you when I get back to growing.
But yes it is frustrating when you plants just up and die.
-
Yes just had 12 Papaya seedlings up and die over night. Were all looking healthy then over night a big die off. Not all seedings just some. Its not the first time too. A while back had a mass die off of Pepper plants too. 7.5-10cm tall all looking good and strong next morning got up and just about all had keeled over. Like what to hell is going on?
Would like to help you out but leaving Thailand here in 2 weeks and might be a while till get back. Maybe after I get back and start growing stuff again we can get in contact.

I can understand the right/left hand crecent wrench but is it metric or standard?
-
Yup that gives me an idea. You can jam alot of frogs in a 7.5 SqM area. How many Pla Duk in the tank?
-
Impressive frog pond there. What sort of dimentions is the frog tank?
-
The lake level looks ok. The rain storms late last year gave it a good top up.

Pissing down here in Nong Prue right now

The White lines on the leafs are from the leaf minners? I see them on some of my stuff too.

You can try this place http://www.higreenshop.com but they are located Bangkok about 20km from Suvarnabhumi airport. they have a map and GPS location on their site. The gps location is acurate.
Maybe if you had a contact in Thailand that you can send too could work out.
