I apologize in advance as this is slightly off topic:
I have been doing some research regarding crossing the Thai-Cambodian boarder utilizing buses, van and or taxis.
Looks to me like I can do this starting from Surin, crossing at Chong Chom / O'Smach and then on to Anlong Veng.
My goal is to go to Preah Vihear & some of the other temple complexes north of Siem Reap.
Thanks
I may have been drinking when I created this post.
I came up with this plan after surfing the net, but most of the commentary on doing this route is at least a year or two old. Does anyone see a problem with this Journey? I plan on crossing in two weeks.
Thanks again

I'm still researching this topic myself.
For the time being, short term, I'm thinking travel insurance.
Does anyone have any experience or opinions on World Nomad Travel Insurance
Thanks

Baht ? 360 ?
Correct, 360 Baht via the highway. Well worth it to me as I prefer to avoid Bangkok Taxis and rely on public transportation. I love using BTS & MRT but did not want to drag my bag up and onto the SKY train at Nana.
I have positive experiences with BKK Taxis drivers maybe 50% of the time. For example; to get from Makkasan station to Sukhumvit is easy but to catch a taxi on the street for the return trip takes some patience. They don't want to go there, don't want to turn the meter on and when you do find a guy to take you, he wont want to make that last couple of turns required to drive into the station. They want to drop you off on the opposite side of the terminal, and have you drag your bags across the gravel no mans land.
The other problem I run into is my fault; being new to Thailand I do not properly pronounce the names of places. I have had drivers basically eject me from their car because they could not understand me.
I love Bangkok!

Thanks for the reply.
I was interested in CIGNA because of the price. I want insurance in case of a major issue like cancer or getting hit by a bus. I can handle minor hospital visits out of pocket. Guess I will keep shopping,

Does anyone have any experience or commentary about CIGNA health insurance?
For example has anyone bought a policy and then had issues during it in SEA or Thailand more specifically?
Thanks.

Does anyone have any experience or commentary regarding CIGNA insurance policies? I am interested in buying a "Global Health Policy" to have while traveling throughout SEA and the Indian Sub Continent. Next year I will apply for a Thai retirement visa.
Thanks
