I would say 500 bath is a fair price.

Will be shipping 20 boxes out next month. Best quote i got was from Siam Pick Pack (Chiang Mai) Co., Ltd. <[email protected]> and next best was from Boonma <[email protected]> which had very efficiently cleared and delivered the stuff when it came in a year ago. Contact at Siam Pickpack is Natcha. Boonma is Leroy.
How much will it cost you?

C3 form is the form needed for import custom clearance in UK for used household only. Your shipper should have given you that in their quote and told what is was for.

Carlsberg. especially Draft.

try to contact white swan relocation. We used them and many of our friends used them.

I will recommend White swan. I can not recognize that they keep you in the dark. We used them. No problem and good packers. The manager was always polite and answered my question when I wrote. Lately my friend from Bangkok used them to England. He was also OK with them.

Never seen it. So I doubt it even in the expensive restaurants with the rich Thais. My wife is upset every time I give tip. Even when eat noddle soup at a street kitchen I give tip.

Without having read the entire tread, I just want to say this. You must be a patient person. It is totally impossible. Just see their vision for Hitler and as they behave. Most Thai do not know a damn thing regarding world history. Most they do not even know what's going on in their own country. So why should they know what is happening and has happened in the big world.
-
Surely not enough to just wade into people's homes on suspicion alone and certainly not without search warrant. But again this is Thailand and anything is possible. Police and other agencies can act like wild monkeys and do whatever suits them. Who will stop them?

There are rules and then there are rules. The official rules says that you are permitted to import 1 electric items of each. Nobody need to know how old these items are. Then there are Thai Custom Officers rules. They can do what they want. But also it depends on what kind of Visa to entre on. Officially it is only returning Thai citizens, been out of Thailand for a year or more, people with work permit and Diplomats who are allowed to import without paying any tax, but again then conditions must be met before they can. Get hold of a good agent/ moving company that are willing to help you and not only care about money. We did and didn't paid 1 Satang.

I think that is wrong that so many try to discourage people to sell their stuff and buy new here. Not so much in this thread, but in many others that deals with this topic. Yes, customs officers may be some pigs in many areas. But compared to what new costs out here. I'm not talking about the street shops that sell Thai quality furniture, but about but the stores that sell western quality furniture. These places are often more expensive example. Europe due to the freight out here and 30% luxury import tax. I tried to look at a Bang & Olufson TV. It cost twice the money as in my home country. I would at any time send my stuff. Because you always have things that are very personal, there can be memories and many times also inherited. And again the cost for buying the same out here, can be a very expensive experience.

Can bring electric items, but 1 of each. Like 1 TV etc. Have a friend here, he paid bath 20.000 on a retirement visa.
There are rules regarding importing personal items. But the custom officers go their own rules. Never mid what the internet say.
Get hold of a good moving company like we did. We didn't pay anything.
-
Any person regardless of visa can import their used household. But nor everybody can import without paying import tax. Officially then people with work permit, Diplomats and returning Thai citizens who can that. We used the wife's name and our moving company made sure we didn't pay anything.

hmm. Without having read it all, I'll just say that they're up to the manhunt of the worst kind. What do they think? Do they think? Why not just say that we are not welcome instead of chasing us.

I don't know who he used. He never told me and I never asked.

A friend shipped 5 cubic meters from Bangkok to Brisbane for less than 30.000 bath. This was just to port Brisbane, he handled everything himself in Australia.
-
5 cubic meters is not near half of a container. I mean a 20 foot container can handle about 30 cubic meters. Try to contact white swan relocation in Bangkok.

Why not use post office? Cheaper than any shipping company
-
Well, Yes, let's see what happens. Last year they made this law which should come into effect immediately. To my knowledge it has been postponed several times.

Try to contact white swan relocation. Used them and they are good.

Use a moving company and ask them if they provide shared container. That I think would be the cheapest and best way. Try to contact White Swan Relocation. We and many of our friends and colleagues used them.

I also only had bad experience with LG TV. Bought Samsung TV, so far never had any problems. Bought the Samsung 18 month ago.

I wouldn't live without these small fellas out here. They do no harm, they catch mosquito. They shit. Well what goes in have to get out. Mean if you clean your house / condo like normal people do, you wouldn't never notice their stools.
Another talk is Tukae. If these are inside they get a slap in the ass with a broome.
