  1. Does anybody have any information on when Non-immigrant - O visa holders will be able to return to Thailand. I have a Non-immigrant - O visa for retirement with a valid  re-entry permit and am currently in England. My visa will be due its next extension in March 2021. I am a condominium owner and Thailand has been my home for many years. I have emailed the RTE in London many times and although I always get a reply back they are not able to answer the question of when I will be able to return to Thailand. I have tried calling them many times but as yet have not been successful in getting through to them. I am getting anxious about the situation and am worried about getting back to Thailand in time to extend my Non - O visa. I see that Non - O-A and Non - O-X holders are able to return but not people with the Non - O visa as yet. Is there any news on this?  What is the best advice?

  2. Thanks for your advise. I walked away with my single entry wondering whether I had done something wrong, whether they thought by giving me a single this time it would mean that I would be paying for the next one (if they stop giving free ones away in March) or whether it was because it was the 4th of January, first day back, and nobody was in the mood for work. There were more people than I have ever seen at a Thai embassy in the region, 540 people before me and probably another 200 after me.

Thanks again, I'll explore my options.

  3. The Royal Thai Embassy in Vientiane have issued me with three tourist visas since September 2007. The first a single entry, the second a double entry in December 2007 and the third a single entry on 4th January 2010. I also have two Non-Immigrant visas in my passport, one issued in July 2006 and the other in October 2008.

I applied for a double entry tourist visa on the first day of business in Vientiane in January this year but was given a single entry, with no red stamp and no explanation as to why.

I need to apply for one more single entry visa before going back to Europe in the summer. I want to know if I will be able to get one in Vientiane or whether I should take their refusal to grant me what I applied for as a bad sign and that they may refuse me or issue me with the red stamp.

Any help, advise or information would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

  4. Has anybody got any current information on getting a 60 day tourist visa from either Vientiane or Phnom Penh.

I've been in Thailand this year on a Non B multiple entry which expires in September. I plan to make a trip to either Laos or Cambodia to get a tourist visa. what I need to know is: Is it possible to get tourist visa having had a Non B just expire and are there any known difficulties with this in mind at either Vientiane or Phnom Penh.

Any news would be much appreciated.

    Many Thanks.
