  1. If you want to be sure if your battery is still good, then go to a garage and they can test the quality of your battery.

They use a (liquid or electronic) tester with the colors green, yellow and red. If the liquid from the battery (liquid tester) shows not higher then the yellow color level, then you have to replace the battery.

Most batteries work (100%) only for about 2 years.

If the liquid in your battery is one time below minimum level, then your battery is damaged already.

Your battery life time is longer if:

    1. Check the liquid of your battery every month.

    2. Park your car if possible in the shadow.

    3. Don't use the air-co if the windows are open

Pay a little more for a better battery. Most batteries imported from China are from poor quality.

    Good luck

  2. I'm still in KL to apply for a new Non-Immigrant B Visa, but they want to give me only a visa for three Months.

This is the second time already. First In Penang and now in KL. I have a one year work permit valid until 13 march 2010.

I cannot follow the law anymore. First you get only a work permit for three Months and you will get a one year Non-Immigrant B visa .

They changed the law beginning this year and they give you now one year work permit. This is not related to the visa anymore.

The counsellor told me that my work permit is only valid for 6 Months and that was not enough to give me a one year Non-Immigrant B. Are they getting insane?

I live already for 11 years in Thailand and I had never any problems with my visa neither with my work permit.

Sins my one year Non-Immigrant B visa expired in March 2009 , I get every time only 3 Months.

I told her, You know what! Give me a tourist visa for 2 Months and I go to make an extension for one Month . This visa cost me nothing, so what should I pay? And I renew my work permit when I'm back and take some vacation.

Eleven years in Thailand, work permit, pay taxes, 4 years own house, baby, married , Thai licenses, but they don't give any shit?

I get sick from Thai Government.

  3. I just came back in the morning after 12 hours driving from Phuket to Penang and back and this was a nightmare.

I live already for 11 years in Phuket and needed to apply for e new NON_IMMIGRANT B VISA.

More then one year ago I apply in Penang and they gave the one year visa. After one year on Mach 2 2009, I had to apply again for a new one. I went to KL and gave them all the documents that were needed.

They gave me only three months, because she told me that my work permit is expired tomorrow. Yes, that's why I'm here now to apply for a new NON-IMMIGRANT B VISA. If I extended my work permit before, then the date would not be the same.

The labor office need first to see the new NON-IMMIGRANT B VISA. Embassy, NO, we need first work permit, we give you only three Months.

What could I do? Nothing and went back to Phuket with my three Months NON-IMMIGRANT B VISA

I went to the labor office and they put the stamp 3 March 2009 till 3 march 2010 Yes, One day earlier then my visa , but also for one year and I have a three Months Visa??????

Now Monday the first of June, I went to Penang again, because I don't wanted to spend 6000 extra for airplane et cetera, I took the bus.

In the evening I arrived with the Minibus and they stop like always by an bookstore or another agency, who will take for your visa. ( This is normally good and safe)

I gave him all the documents what is needed to get the NON-IMMIGRANT B VISA.

On Wednesday the 3th 2009, I went to the agency to pickup my passport and the Embassy gave me again a three Months NON-IMMIGRANT B VISA.

They agency told me, that he gave all the money 550RM and documents, but they do what they want. Another man from the UK had the same problem. Also he stayed already for 6 years with his Thai family in Thailand. He showed also all documents, work permit et cetera.

Are they getting NUTS in Thailand?

I do this already for years and never had any problem, but it seems that even you have a company, married et cetera they can do what they want. In other words, they follow the law we they wanted.

By the way: The rules for the work permit changed also. They don't change or add your salary inside the book, neither the date has to be equal as your visa.

Again a sign that you are not welcome here in Thailand. Only pay, bring and spend allot of money and go!

You want to do everything the legal way, you'll get stabbed with a bigger knife.

  4. I have a partnership with my wife and have a work permit already for 8 years and pay all taxes et cetera.

After all this years I had enough from visa runs and wanted to apply for a one year visa add Phuket Immigration.

I took all papers that I needed to apply for the one years visa extension.

They told me, that I cannot get a extension visa in Phuket, because I have a partnership and I need to have four Thai employees.

I don't need four Thai employees otherwise I made a Co.L.t.d.. They told me, that is Thai law, if you want to have a visa extension, you need to have four Thai employees.

I cannot follow the Thai Law anymore and many accountants get headache also from this. Now I have to go to Malaysia again, were I always without any problem get my NON- IMMIGRANT B VISA.

The only thing is, that I have to travel out off the country every three Months again.

This all doesn't make sense to me. How more you follow the law and want to do everything legal to avoid problems with Thai law as Foreigner, how bigger knife you get in your back.

At the other side, I will safe my money and better go out every three Months for 1700 baht.

If I have to pay extra for four employees tax, et cetera and raise my salary, then this will cost me at least 8000 baht extra for one Month.

    Disappointed residence from Phuket

  5. I live and work already for 8 years in Thailand. I have a work permit and Non-Immigrant B Visa. Normally I went every year back to my country for holiday and for a new visa and that was never any problem at all.

One and half year ago a start a new company. I apply for work permit. I had to go first to the embassy in Kuala Lumpur. I show my papers and they gave the first time only three Months.

I went back and gave my accounted the papers and my passport. After a few weeks I received my new work permit.

After three Months I went out again to Kuala Lumpur and show the papers and work permit. They gave me a one year visa. Last week, my visa and work permit were almost expired and I had to go out again.

I showed my company papers again, passport and work permit. Now they gave me only three Months again, because my work permit expired next day.

I told them, YES, that's why I'm here to apply for a new visa so I can extend my work permit. NO, they said, you need first to show the work permit with the new extension. I said, I never had this problem and the dates from the work permit and visa should synchronized.

If I should get first the work permit with the new date and come a few days later to apply for a new visa, the dates are not synchronized. If get first the visa, then it is possible.

I could talk want I wanted, but no success. I went back and told it to my accounted. The labor office need first to see the visa before they can extend the work permit and the embassy told me, that they need first the work permit?

Who is right and who is wrong????????

The only thing what I know now after 8 years. When you want to do everything legal way, you get a knife in your back. When you do things illegal, you have less problems and safe a lot of money.

Disappointed long living resident of Thailand!

  6. TOT and ADSL

Sins TOT made promotion to get double speed for only 1000 baht a Month, the speed went down and down.

I made the last several Months many speed tests. Morning evening and night time, but there was not so much difference.

The funniest thing what I saw in the last 20 years I worked with computers, that the upload speed is faster then the download speed.

When visit national websites, the speed is OK, but as soon you go international, it's a disaster.

I complain many times, but I can better speak against my dog.

Or TOT didn't upgrade their servers or it can be a political issue?

For now, put a coffee machine and some sandwiches next to you and if that doesn't help Red Bull will? :o

  7. I think that Land & house in Chalong is one of the best places to stay in Phuket. The area is secured and the surroundings are nice and clean.

The houses are not only build by land & house. There also private parties who own land and make there own houses for sale and rent.

In area Muntana is land for sale to make your own house.

The houses in Thailand are made almost everywhere with the same quality products, but of course there are exceptions.

If you bought from Land and House, then you'll have guarantee. Try this with other contractors in Thailand. I think you'll miss the boat.

I think for sure that you could make changes in the house. You have to speak with the manager and not with the sales department.

They have standard rules and that is good otherwise everybody do what he wants and then Land and House would look like a Christmas tree same like Patong :D

    :o

  8. Law is the Law. If you did it right, then you will not have a problem?

This is Thailand. They can change every day the law and the foreign invester will always loose.

You should know this already. You can not own land or houses in Thailand. That you can own a condiuminium is also a fairytale.

The only thing what you can do is, bring alot of money in Thailand, that's what they like.

The best and easiest thing is: Let your wife buy the land and house and make a lease contract for 30 years with an extention. This is safe and you don't have to make a company, use an account etc.

You can sale the house when you want or rent it to other people.

Foreigner who invests 40 million baht or more in a Thai Company is eligible to purchase land and a house at the size of maximum 400 square wah maximum total land area.(1 square wah = 4 square meters). :o

YOU MOST BE AN IDIOT IF YOU DO THAT

  9. RELEASED ON BAIL???

How much did he paid. 10.000 baht? A foreign man who just help to stop two woman who fighting with each other, had to pay 85000 baht bank guarantee. The woman told the police that he beat her? The police said, that she have to go to the court if she think that he did beat her.

At the court, the two Thai woman didn't had to pay nothing, but the foreign man, had to give a bank guarantee of 85000 baht to stay out of the jail. Thai people pay maybe this amount of money for a murder case. They have to come back at the end of april for so far I know.

So much money for a small thing and he didn't do nothing. (DON"T HELP THAI PEOPLE IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCES) You will safe yourself allot of problems.

I think they ussed his wallet also to pay the released fee

  10. I believe that they had to pay 5000 baht so they could go travel further.

I know somebody who is already one Month in jail for overstay. When you have to go to the court, you can be released if you show the bank guarantee. This can be 1000 baht, but also much and much more and it doesn't mean that you are free.

They will keep your passport till the case is done. if you don't have the money, you will stay in prission till the money is paid.

Be aware that you are in Thailand. Foreign people have less rights and have to pay much more than Thai people. They will trow you in the prisson with others. 140 people in one room is normal and you spend between, killers, gays, aids patients etc.

    Amazing Thailand

  11. I think it is not only the murder case that they lost 30%. Whole Thailand lost many tourists because of there greediness and lack of knowlegde.

:o Also every year many tourists die in a car or motorbike crash. A few weeks ago a young Italian man died and he was just here for one day. If you rent a motorbike and the rental knows that he or she has no driving license, then they send him/her indirectly also to heaven. :D

  12. It is time that he coverment take action. Thai driving schools are a disastor. The most people who do the exam, have to drive only two times back and drive a circle. The most Thai people who have a license, have no any clue about the danger. They don't look left or right, they just cross the road. No lights, bad breaks are common.

License for motorbike should start from 18 years old and car from 21. Only in phuket every 2/5 day sombody dies in an accident.

Also the coverment should punish the rental services who rent a car or bike to tourists without license.

BUT WHAT IS MORE IMPORTANT, MONEY OR LIVES?????? :o

  13. This is not the first and for sure not the last time that this shall happen. Again.

Why foreign people never learn or are they more stupid then the bar girls???

A bar girl loves your money and that's it.

Also the most relations with bar woman are for short time. You better take them for a short time, let them clean up the room and throw them out.

You'll safe yourself allot of money and troubles.

Old men told me a long time ago: THE WOMAN CAN LEFT THE BAR, BUT THE BAR NEVER LEFT THE WOMAN.

  14. Another victim.

Foreign people should know that Thai woman and man have something to loose “ Like MONEY!” Thai woman and man can be very aggressive. If a man or woman has the feeling that they have a good man or woman who take care about them and their family, then they would do anything.

It is not the first time and it would be not the last time!

If you have a relation and you have too many troubles, FINISH IT. Don’t wait till YOU maybe not wake up anymore. If you have investments then play first the game and move or throw her /him out of your house and inform the police.

Don’t forget that the family is normally more important then you’ll ever be.

Good luck for all Thai lovers!
