Has been some time but was about half what others charged - but had a lot of procedures so often no charge for visit at all.  Expect an average is likely about 1,000 baht today (most have increased quite a bit in last several years).  Believe I was only paying 300 plus hospital charge.

    Thank you! ????

You should be able to find in any hospital - in my experience they seem to have the lower range office visit charges and do not believe they are normally trying to rip anyone off.  Normal medical treatment in Thailand is obtained as out patient from hospitals in cities.  Most clinics in city will specialize in beauty needs.

Agreed. Almost all I've searched on the internet specializes beauty needs.

Thank you! Do you have any idea how much usually the consultation cost is?

To be honest I believe it does count but you would have to ask about it. I know they accept driving licenses.

Jut curious where do you live in BKK and if you are ever interested we could fish bung Pla bug together.

Sure! But we may have to try others first. I live within Samut Sakhon. ?

May I know your Line ID?

basically a cheaper version of Bung Samran and they charge Thais and Foreigners the same (250 baht per rod). As far as I know, theres the usual Striped and Mekong catfish, Redtail Catfish, a bunch of carp (even koi) but I dont think they have Alligator Gar or Arapaima there. A much lower chance of breaking your rods.

    Bung Maruay

A fishing park that mainly caters to Thai people and isnt too expensive, but you might have some communication problems.

Bung Tepa aka J Ang Fishing Park

Basically they specialise in the Chao Phraya Giant Catfish (Pla Tepa). You can use deadbait there.

    Wow! Great list! Thank you!!

Bit old hat but just go to Bungsamran in Bangkok.

Get a nice villa, a guide and enjoy a few beers and hauling up a few fish when the mood takes.

Thought of that already but I prefer to do cheaper options first. Definitely on my bucketlist!

    Sakurna is in BKK

If you got transportation and rod and reel there is a nice fishing park in Ayuttaya with huge mekong catfish. Price 150 per rod plus whatever you pay for bait there .. add an other 300 bt.

    Its called Bung Play Bug.

Yup! I got transportation. Will try this!

Are there any other places you could recommend?

  9. Hi everyone,

I would just like to ask if you happen to know any good fishing places that are near Bangkok that's not expensive and worth visiting? Anything not expensive means under 1000 THB. ? I'm willing to travel anywhere around 1-2 hours away from Bangkok.

I prefer catching big fishes like giant mekong catfish, alligator gars, etc.

    Thanks for the help! Cheers!
