I've renewed my passport since my last 1 year extension, and had all my stamps transferred by immigration. Today I went to Songkhla Immigration (Hat Yai) to renew my extension, as I was assembling my documents this morning I thought, will they want the old passport? I put it in just in case, lucky I did as they requested it, and copied all the pages from the last entry on my original visa.
Is this normal and will it be a continued requirement going forward?
Immigration in Thailand is not like 7/11 stores which are consistant with their service. Every Immigration office has their own spin on policies and proceedures. Your question is like asking," How long is a piece of string".

Thailand will never join Nato, too many $ involved in Russian and Chinese tourists. Thailand prefers Nutrality.

Even there, things can go wrong, which is my experience with a Ford dealer, with inexperienced 'technicians'
Yes, agree, just saying better chance of success at dealership than local back yard boys.

First mistake, using B Quick for mechanical repairs. Very few real mechanics in this country, a lot of back yard boys pretending to be Mechanics. Use a well establised dealership with mechanical workshop facilities.

I feel ashamed that this guy comes from Australia, a real scumbag, the Tai driver more than likely caused this outburst, however, no excuse for carrying on like that.

Sad, but this is normal everywhere in Thailand. Thailand government dont give a <deleted>, nor does the average Thai. The environment is not high on the government or public agenda.

Agree with OP regarding swiss men, I do not condone what they did, however, there are 70 million plus Thais in Thailand, with assalts, bashings, rapes, murders by Thais everyday in Thailand. Do you see the media covering those cases, no, because nobody cares, better story if 'farang' involved. Media BS at its best.

Dont blame him, the UK hasbecome a multi cultural disaster zone, time to shut the boarders before the UK loses its western way of life forever, like many EU countries are discovering.

In my understanding that refers to lao khao, Sang Som, Leo, Chang beer, and such.
They will never lower the duties on their cash cow, the imported wine.
This seems to be normal in Thailand, tax heavily on all imports, yet little tax on people and goods in country.

Easy, don't fly there. Nothing special in Phuket that other tourist hot spots offer. Overrated.

I think I will wait until the tax office comes knocking at my door, then make a decision which path to go down.

We are from South Africa and are getting married in Phuket , and have rented a villa with a private chef. Any ideas on where we can buy good steaks? Sirloin or Rib eye. Is Big C a good option? Open to all recommendations.
With your money I would'nt bother with Big C or Makro, plenty of expat butchers selling quality beef in Phuket.

Really, Thai Airways sueing a passenger for his personal opinion, The airline must be desperate for cash. I mean, the comment would have fizzled away in a few days, and would it really affect Thai Airways, I seriously doubt it. Now Thai Airways will be known for their actions against passengers who complain about anything. More harm done than good.

If the bum gun in the bathroom is leaking / broken, is this the owner's responsibility or the tenant's responsibility to buy a new one and put the new one in? I would've thought it's the owner's responsibility as the tenant has moved in and it was in working state. I think the tenant's responsibility is only for changing light bulbs if they become fused. Correct me if I'm wrong?
Less than 200B. why bother, replace it youself.

This is a duplicate post by the same OP, the original being 2nd April 2023. It is pushing his evangelical anti EV opinion with false data.
As was covered in that original thread, multiple sources of statistics including the US Gov't, put fires in ICE vehicles about 14 times more likely than in an EV.
A simple google search will tell you that the source of this video in an anti CCP outfit and funded by Falun Gong, its videos are clickbait.
There are many members here who are buyers of BYD vehicles, myself included, I have yet to hear of ANY being unhappy.
Same old samo from EV lovers in denial. Just a small piece of info for you concerning your quote. 'As was covered in that original thread, multiple sources of statistics including the US Gov't, put fires in ICE vehicles about 14 times more likely than in an EV.' Have you check lately how many ICE are on the road right now in the world against EVs. Comparing ICE vehicles burning against EVs burning is just pure nonsense. Hey, you enjoy your BYD, I sleep well at nights owning my ICE vehicle.
