  1. I know it's not really news at all, I know it's not very interesting, but having gone to Thailand for many years I am fairly aware of what they look like, but I have never seen either of them in the flesh until I believe yesterday (01/02/19). Having not seen them in the flesh before yesterday, I had doubt in my mind it could be them, however even if it was Yingluck on her own I would think it was her, and even if it had been Thaksin on his own I would have thought it was him, but they were together which made me more convinced as they both looked exactly as they do on the TV (television).

It's not really news at all, I guessed they have business interests in the UK and if it was them IMO they must have a visa due to their wealth (business category) or assylum.

I wasn't reporting it to show off, this is just an internet forum and like hell someone who posts here could be deemed credible without a track record, my track record is none on here, but they did as it happens look like them and while I did not get a photo due to respecting them and not wanting to cause an issue (Airport pick ups are work to me), I personally believe it was them.

  2. I am an airport transfer taxi company, last night I slept in the back of my taxi at Fleet services (M3) due to the snow, I woke up at 3 am and drove to terminal 2 to meet my customer off a flight from Heathrow terminal 2, my customers flight landed at 6.20am and i drove early in case condtions got worse. Off the Singapore flight I swear no word of a lie was who looked exactly like Thaksin and Yingluck Shinawatra walking past me at arrivals. I would have taken a photo, but I had concern that the Thaksins might be dangerous and might assume I was either a spy or a journalist. I don't know if there dangerous or not, but I kid you not it looked exactly like them both. There were travelling unaccompanied and were met and greeted by another driver.

There bags said they had flown from Singapore, the flight arrived at around 6 am this morning at terminal 2, i can get the flight numbers but i believe fully it was them

Just a heads up Thai visa,

  3. in appendix 1.7 it say the following (which I read one of two ways)

9.7. Director or employee of a specified limited company in the UK – requirements

9.7.1. A limited company is owned by its shareholders. Where such a shareholder is also a director or other employee of the company, they may be paid a salary and receive dividends, which can generally be counted, as appropriate, as employment or nonemployment income under Category A, Category B or Category C. However, if the company is of the type specified in paragraph 9(a) of Appendix FM-SE, the person’s income must instead be considered under Category F or Category G. This is because in a company in sole or limited family ownership there is scope for doubt as to the effective control of the company, as the person is either a director or employee (or both) and a shareholder or the other shareholders are family members of that person. In that case, instead of the employment evidence in Category A or Category B or the dividend evidence in Category C, we need the evidence about the operation of the company required under Category F or Category G.

  4. Hi,

The home office generally know everything when it comes to this and I am doubtful I will get away without mentioning who my boss is.... however the wording above may mean I qualify without needing to show company account etc, but two immigration advisers say 2 different things on this subject sadly and i am unsure if I can go down the employee route or if I need to go down the financial company year end proof as well route.

    ?

  5. don't think too much, is like don't ask me no questions and I will tell you no lies usually, but in a way which is like don't worry about it, everything is okay.

Many Thai's keep their cards close to their chests, as a Brit myself I am wired and programmed very differently to Thai ladies and therefore Thai ladies programming can cause me issues... I am guessing that is the same for most people in thailand here visiting from ferang nations

Adultery is Thailand is running at 58% The highest in the world.  Many many times Married Thai men or women come to wife's restaurant not with their wives or husbands but there Giks.

There was a poll done about this by Durex and it ranked the men of Thailand as the most likely to cheat in the world, and the women of Thailand at the number 2 spot.

My country (the UK) was ranked about number 9 I think....

My ex Thai wife did the adultery thing, however that doesn't count on the poll because she denied it (However I was still with her when her facebook status changed from married to in a relationship lol), so the actual figure is possibly far higher than that recorded...

I have a thing for Thai ladies, but I have to say with the stats as they are my fingers will no doubt get burned again ?

  7. How good are you at reading legal jargon?

I am trying to establish if I have to provide lots of complicated details which would see my partner arriving in 2.5 years’ time rather than next April, the question is if my mothers company is a specified ltd company or not. If my mothers Company is not a specified ltd company then my partner can come in 9 months’ time. My mother is a sole director and 100% shareholder, please read the following carefully to see what you think about it.

    (a) The specified type of limited company is one in which:

    (i) the person is either a director or employee of the company, or both, or of another company within the same group; and

(ii) shares are held (directly or indirectly) by the person, their partner or the following family members of the person or their partner: parent, grandparent, child, stepchild, grandchild, brother, sister, uncle, aunt, nephew, niece or first cousin; and

(iii) any remaining shares are held (directly or indirectly) by fewer than five other persons.

One immigration expert says I am okay and my mothers company is not a specified company, and one says my mothers company is a specified company.

Even one experts who has qualifications to know this stuff struggle to understand the rules regarding this it seems (or at least one does and one doesn't lol)…..

(ii) shares are held (directly or indirectly) by the person, their partner or the following family members of the person or their partner:

Any thoughts? (The next quote I have for legal advice is £300 and I don’t want to pay any more on this so open thoughts on this would be handy please,

    J x

  8. I really hate Pattaya, yet Hua Hin I really like, I would come down and take private tours and I have really enjoyed my stays!

One thing I notice about Hua Hin is that there is very little tourism of ferangs there,  once in one weekend I only saw about 20 ferangs in Hua Hin itself...

I would love to be there right now, however I have very little desire to ever be in Pattaya again.

I've often heard the worst thing is when they meet other Thai "friends" in the west they get poisoned into the western culture and want more and more and more

Whether its gold jewelry or a BMW or younger man etcetera

A lot of men In the UK would love a hot Asian gf compared to the local badgers , but they won't move to Asia to look for one so I'd say you've a better chance of keeping her if you both stay in thailand and stay content

She won't know she could get a dude twice as rich as you Unless she meets him lol and then it might be too late....

    You are not wrong!

I agree with you on all accounts!

  10. The street dogs IMO will always be a problem in Thailand and it is not a problem which can be fixed easily!

A taxi driver said he fed about 200 street dogs a day, and also had 40 injured dogs at his home, he was an old Thai man who thought this was the best way of caring for them!

Typically he said the dogs at his home had been involved in dog fights or accidents with cars!

For a 45 baht fare I paid him 1000 baht because of what he was doing, and while I thought he might of scammed me into believing in a fairy tale I witnessed him feeding a group of about 8 dogs near a bus stop a week later!

I don't know what is best for this problem in Thailand I must admit

The retired  Farang guy has typically had a lot of advantages in thailand

They get more money every month than a cute village Thai girl would save in a lifetime

But you drop her off in London or Oz or USA and she won't be long finding out what her pu$$y is worth to the local young eligible guys....plenty who will be wealthy, and also have good jobs and impressive houses and cars etc

I  Know expats who won't take their darling out of Thailand because they are honest enough to admit that she could do better without even trying.... But I suppose there are other relationships that are more 50/50, especially when the couples are closer together in age

The wealthy men in my area married to Thai ladies seem to do slightly better with lengthier marriages than the poor! Many of the Thai ladies in my area get knocked up with their first Ferang Brit and struggle to find men that are any better, but in many cases they can't resist sampling Brit males and end up divorced. Primary criteria for a decent new relationship for them in most cases is wealth and anything they get on top is a bonus!

I am engaged to a very attractive Thai lady and if I don't get her knocked up many handsome wealthy men will be keen to provide for her when she lives here, which in reality means I will be left broken!

I'm fully aware that the chances are I will get dumped eventually and probably cheated on, which while it does put me off the whole adventure, I find it very hard to meet ladies in the UK which I find suitable or indeed in which I like!

If a wiser me could comment in order to avoid this sort of cheating which commonly goes on, all I would say is try and pick a Thai girl that is slightly more so in your own league worldwide no matter where you end up and also try and avoid wife finding in Bars in those very strange adult Disney land like places which offer night and life services for the vulnerable!

Aha, The age old story of the Thai woman who  goes for a better deal once she is in Farang land is very very common

She probably gets hit on daily from handsome  young guys half the age, maybe half the weight and equally rich as the old coffin dodger that brought her from the village to the first world

Is it even surprising a lot or even most of them stray ?

I don't find it surprising, but it should be a reminder that in my area alone half the ladies from Thailand here were not worth marrying to everyone who's considering marrying someone from Thailand!

I know for a fact that in many cases local to me the ladies were formally paid professionally as girlfriends in Thailand and most commonly from Pattaya!

I'm planning on bringing a Thai lady over here to live, and while the relationship is far better than anything I've previously had, I'm very aware that I will most likely get stung again!

I personally don't believe there is a girl in this world which will spend the rest of my life with me, I'm 34 and hope to not max out at more than 3 marriages in my life time!

  13. Thai women in the UK often cheat on their husbands for fellow Brits. I don't know what the official figure is for Thai ladies cheating in the UK but I would suggest it is probably very high. In my area about 50% of Thai ladies cheat and leave within the first 10 years of life in the UK. My ex-wife cheated, and out of about 30 relationships I knew through her Thai circles that she hung around in more than half of the relationships saw Ferang Brits being cheated on!

While I'm sure you all know what your doing, choose wisely if your planning on marrying a Thai lady, because divorce is more common than you would think in these types of relationships. Personally I don't consider a lady who sells herself as good company, but many ferang seem to feel they make excellent partner material, and while in some cases they might make good life partners, in most cases they will never stop using you!

When Ferang become Ex pats in Thailand, you may well find that your partner/wife will cheat on you with Thai men, it does happen a lot! likewise if you are in a relationship with a Thai lady and you live abroad and are doing the long distance thing, you may well be being cheated on.

But that said plenty of Thai ladies don't cheat and hopefully you are with one of them!

One point I will add is that in the UK I have also seen many Thai ladies and male Brits together and living very happily together, I've also seen this in Thailand as well and so it is possible that you'll have a worthwhile and successful relationship overall!

    chok dee!

I have spent 6 months in Thailand in the last 2 years over 4 visits!

I'm not into meeting a hooker and personally my feelings are neither should anyone, I have never used that route in life!

The guide posted two or three posts before I can recommend, i thought the post was very good!

As far as people known for misleading people with untruthful statements, Trump is the foremost person that comes to mind. And that is a fact.

I agree Trump should be many persons foremost go to guy for untruthful statements, so I'm not surprised he is your go to guy for that, and while I am sure Trump has broken thousands of laws, I'm highly doubtful he colluded with Russia to rig his own election.... Beyond that the evidence presented about the Russian government being involved is very weak in this election rigging thingy ma jig!

  16. I have drank freshly ground coffee since I was a child and still do to this day, Starbucks have a very high rate of caffeine in their drinks and therefore are great for coffee addicts! I have been to about 30 Starbucks in Bangkok and I can't think of anywhere with a garden, but in the city centre they have Starbucks with seats outside (near the Platitunam shopping mall for example).
