  1. Hi all,

I have a Non-Immigrant O Extension for purpose of Retirement.  This will expire after I leave Thailand.  I will be leaving too early to renew.  When I do return to Thailand I would like to apply for a new Extension.  Can I come in from Australia on a Tourist Visa and start the process again.  If this is the case why do so many people obtain a Non-Immigrant "o" from their home Embassy or nearby outside Thailand.  I have been advised by Chaengwattana phone today that I can come in on a Tourist Visa and start the process and if all is well I should have the new Extension approved in 15 days.  Am I missing something?

    Thanks for all help

  2. Hi all and Joe, I have a current Extension Based on Retirement expiring 24 April, 2019. I also have a Multiple Re-Entry permit expiring same time.  I will be returning to Thailand on 26 December 2018 with a new passport. On 27 December I will be going to CW Immigration to complete a TM 28 and TM 30. I have read in other threads that it does not really matter when I do the stamp transfer and it can wait until my 90 day report. My query is if my 90 day report date overlaps with the earliest date I can renew my Extension, is it ok not to move the stamps at all and just let the new Extension and Multiple Re-Entry Permit Stamps go in the new Passport.   Thanks

  3. I am 55 years old, have entered on a Tourist Visa and I would like to apply for an Extension of Stay based on Retirement.  My query is does my 800,000 have to come from Overseas.  My husband is here on a work permit but this is finishing soon. Would Immigration accept the transfer of the 800,000 from his account.

Thanks for your help, I have read the Immigration Steps fully and cannot clarify this question.

  4. I currently have 800,000 baht in various accounts in Thailand that I would like to put into one savings account for the seasoning period prior to applying for the extension for retirement visa. My current visa is a non immigrant 'b' multi entry.  My question is does the 800,000 baht have to be shown to come from outside Thailand.  My money is already in Thailand.

    Thankyou

  5. I am currently on a Non-immigrant B. I do not have a work permit as I am a buyer of thai goods only. I would like to apply for a retirement visa next February. I do not have 800,000 but can pay 70,000 per month into my thai bank account starting this month and can continue on in this way. However, my money does not come from my home country. How can I verify that I am able to pay the 70,000 per month into my account. Thankyou.
