Hi all,
I have a Non-Immigrant O Extension for purpose of Retirement. This will expire after I leave Thailand. I will be leaving too early to renew. When I do return to Thailand I would like to apply for a new Extension. Can I come in from Australia on a Tourist Visa and start the process again. If this is the case why do so many people obtain a Non-Immigrant "o" from their home Embassy or nearby outside Thailand. I have been advised by Chaengwattana phone today that I can come in on a Tourist Visa and start the process and if all is well I should have the new Extension approved in 15 days. Am I missing something?
Thanks for all help

Hi Ubonjoe,
Can you please assist. My English friend had his passport stolen. He has a completed police report and needs to know what new documentation he must have to enable him to clear immigration on exit. We understand that he can fill out a new TM 6 at Suvarnabhumi, but what about the stamp in his passport showing entry date, a few days ago.
Thanks

Ok thanks, can you also tell me what is the earliest date I can renew my Extension of Stay based on Retirement at CW, based on the 24 April, 2019 expiry date.
-
Thanks for that Joe, I will add the stamps transfer on 27 December. There is a Application form for transfer isn't there? Can you tell me the form number please.
-
I am going to CW on 27 December because when I left Thailand I lived in Hua Hin and will be going to my new address in Bangkok upon my return, so TM 28. The TM 30 is me letting Immigration know where I am going forward.

Hi all and Joe, I have a current Extension Based on Retirement expiring 24 April, 2019. I also have a Multiple Re-Entry permit expiring same time. I will be returning to Thailand on 26 December 2018 with a new passport. On 27 December I will be going to CW Immigration to complete a TM 28 and TM 30. I have read in other threads that it does not really matter when I do the stamp transfer and it can wait until my 90 day report. My query is if my 90 day report date overlaps with the earliest date I can renew my Extension, is it ok not to move the stamps at all and just let the new Extension and Multiple Re-Entry Permit Stamps go in the new Passport. Thanks

Thanks

Thanks for your info NancyL. Since we are talking about accounts, is a Fixed Deposit Account accepted at Chang Wattana
for the 800k baht.

Yes Ubonjoe, my husband does plan on retiring as well. I am here on a tourist visa as the thai company that he works for changed their company name and so whilst they were sorting that out we were not covered under his work permit. If Immigration would accept proof of the 800k baht would we need to get this verified at our Embassy.

I am 55 years old, have entered on a Tourist Visa and I would like to apply for an Extension of Stay based on Retirement. My query is does my 800,000 have to come from Overseas. My husband is here on a work permit but this is finishing soon. Would Immigration accept the transfer of the 800,000 from his account.
Thanks for your help, I have read the Immigration Steps fully and cannot clarify this question.

Thanks Fithman, I do have a valid visa obtained from a Thai Embassy, I do not require a work permit for my visa as I only attend meetings in Thailand.

I am currently on non immig b visa. I am about to put 800,000 baht from thai savings into new seasoning savings account. In January I will apply for Extension of stay based on retirement. Will it be ok having the money come from a thai account and not from overseas.
-
I currently have 800,000 baht in various accounts in Thailand that I would like to put into one savings account for the seasoning period prior to applying for the extension for retirement visa. My current visa is a non immigrant 'b' multi entry. My question is does the 800,000 baht have to be shown to come from outside Thailand. My money is already in Thailand.
Thankyou

Yes I am going to apply for a multiple entry non-immigrant O visa on the grounds of being aged 50 or over at a thai embassy outside of Thailand.

I am currently on a Non-immigrant B. I do not have a work permit as I am a buyer of thai goods only. I would like to apply for a retirement visa next February. I do not have 800,000 but can pay 70,000 per month into my thai bank account starting this month and can continue on in this way. However, my money does not come from my home country. How can I verify that I am able to pay the 70,000 per month into my account. Thankyou.
