  1. Hi,

Can anyone kindly recommend a store in Bangkok where I can buy travel luggage? I'm looking for luggage that is relatively light, durable, brand new (high quality with a reasonable price), and the store should offer a wide variety of choices. I'm also seeking brand recommendations that meet these criteria. Any suggestions for both the store and suitable brands would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your help!

My understanding of the insurance requirements for the O-A increased to 3 million baht not the 400K that you have stated. I think the increase was in September of 2022 so a bit surprised if you did an extension in December of last year that you did not have to have the 3 million coverage.

I left Thailand with no re-entry permit to kill off my O-A due to the increase in insurance requirements and am now on a Non-Imm-O.

I think you are right, I can’t remember it.

If it's relevant to you, could you please share your experience regarding:

    1. The number of visits and the time required to obtain a Non-O visa at the Thai immigration office.
    2. Any additional prerequisites aside from maintaining 800K in the bank. Is a letter from a Thai bank or just a bank statement necessary?
    3. Your insights on the ease and speed of securing a Non-O visa at the Thai embassy in Laos compared to Thailand, as well as any specific requirements at the Thai embassy in Laos.

    Thank you so much.

Exit Thailand without reentry permit killing off your current permission of stay.

Reenter visa exempt and obtain Non O retirement at Thai immigration office.

For the non O application you need 800k in bank on day of application.

The financial requirements for annual extensions are the same as extensions for non O-A with no insurance requirements.

    Can you provide information on:

    - The number of trips and duration needed for a Non-O visa at the Thai immigration office.

    - Additional requirements besides having 800K in the bank. Is a letter from a Thai bank or a bank statement needed?

    - The comparative ease and speed of obtaining a Non-O visa at the Thai embassy in Laos versus Thailand. Also, the requirements at the Thai embassy in Laos.

    Thank you for your help.

  4. Hi,
We've been residing in Bangkok under the Non-OA visa since 2016, which is set to expire in December 2023.

I understand that the Non-OA visa can be renewed up to 45 days before its expiration, requiring a balance of 800,000 Baht in a Thai bank account for two months prior to renewal. Additionally, we are aware of the need to purchase Thai immigration-approved health insurance, with coverage of 400,000 Baht for inpatient and 40,000 Baht for outpatient services.

Anyone who have knowledges or experiences about it kindly advise:
if these requirements remain unchanged or if there have been any recent updates?
We are also interested in exploring any potential alternatives to the Non-OA visa, such as converting to a Non-O visa.
Any guidance and details on these matters would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you for your help.

Ohh , I forgot to add .For less than $3 you can also purchase a telephone number from the country of your choice , where when they call you it is a local call for them, and they can call from either a land line or a cellphone, and it's a local call for them, but it rings anywhere in the world for you via your Skype app,   Take a look and see if it is something that can work for you.

How about I call them (banks and government)?

    Thanks

Try the Thai post, firstly they are cheaper. and and the service can be just as fast. There are no hidden charges. with the same tracking, and EMS services. Depending on where you are sending.it can be a bit slower due to the actions at the destination. But, overall it is a good service.

What are the differences between Thai post and EMS? Which one is faster? Thanks.

  7. Hi,

Regarding persistent symptoms I have been experiencing, which seem to resemble tooth pain.
However, after undergoing root canal re-treatment and receiving a dental crown, the dentist has ruled out any dental issues as the underlying cause. In an effort to alleviate the symptoms, the dentist prescribed Carbamazepine 50 mg (to treat neuralgia), which I have been taking for approximately four weeks. While I did experience some improvement, a reduced symptom still persists, and I am uncertain about the next steps to take.

Additionally, I have noticed gum pain whenever dental floss comes into contact with the gum adjacent to the aforementioned crown.

Furthermore, a CT scan conducted around June last year, as ordered by another dentist, revealed thickening of the sinus mucosa. Despite this finding, I do not exhibit any symptoms typically associated with sinus-related issues, such as nasal congestion, postnasal drip, or a reduced sense of smell.

I do not think that Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Disorder or Bruxism is the underlying cause, as I do not exhibit any symptoms commonly associated with these conditions.

If you have any knowledge or personal experience with professional and competent neurologists, I would greatly appreciate any recommendations you can provide.

Thank you and have a pleasant day ahead.

  8. It is painful whenever dental floss touches the gum (between tooth no. 25th and 26th. The corner between the gum and the crown, to be exact). The question is why I still have pain as the crown was put on my tooth more than 1 year ago. I am extremely sad.

Is there a way to determine the cause of this pain? (For example, X-ray?)

Which type of dentist should I see to know the cause of the pain and remedy it?

Can the crown (Zirconia) be removed without harming the underlying tooth and its structure?
(The crown is glued to the underlying tooth using strong glue according to the prosthodontist)

    A brief history:

The prosthodontist put 2 crowns on tooth no. 25th (after root canal) and 26th simultaneously around end January 2022, around 1 year ago.

There is severe pain after the crowns. I had to do a root canal through the crown on tooth no. 26th and the dental implant on tooth no. 35th because the dentists could not find the cause of pain.

Anyone who is kind, knowledgeable or experienced about it kindly advises.

  9. Thank you all for your advice given.

Which is best (in term of quality and no side effect) Laser or liquid nitrogen to get rid of a mole?

Is it a Dermatologist or nurse who get rid of a mole?

We are thinking of visiting the Bangkok Christian Hospital to get rid of moles. Anyone who has a knowledge or experience about a Dermatologist and methods used at this hospital kindly advise?

    Have a nice day!

I went to one of those skin care places in the local shopping mall.

They used a CO2 lazer to burn the mole on my face away and some small skin tags.

500 baht per location, took about 1 hour in all

About 6 years ago and no problems then or now.

It will be good if you can provide the name of skin care shop and shopping mall.

What are the do and don't after laser?

Can shower after laser? Can go swimming?

    How many treatments or visits?

Thank you and have a nice day!

Some immigration offices staple them in pp if you do it in person.

    Crazy imo.

Just take photo copy of printed receipt. Obviously best to have original with you.

I can sense subtle changes at CW.

Just one person's opinion but thinking they are trying to make the requirements able to be processed by the clerks in uniform way.

Example ...I have NEVER handed over a 90report for annual extensions retirement.

My bankbook pages photocopies were always sufficient.

    Not this year (November).

    They wanted bank statements.

Also this year dealing with the docs check girls was required.

The actual io seemed like a first year uni student.

Singapore Bank sent monthly statement to our home.

    However, not here.

What bank statement you are referring to?

If it is from the bank, do we have to pay?

    How many months statement?

How early you can apply for the extension of stay depends upon the office you will be applying at.

Some will do it up to 45 days early and others 30 days. If using the 800k baht in the bank option it will need to be in the bank for 2 months.

You current extension of stay will be valid to the day it expires.

    Hi Joe,

I have to visit the CW immigration as I live in Sukhumvit area.

    Is it 45 days?
