Report from Vienna embassy if there are also non-NES people curious how it works
you need to provide all documents:
proof of employment
first return ticket (was enough to singapur after 2 weeks in Thailand)
first accomodation in Thailand - copy from reservation made via booking.com was enough
Evidence of 5000 euro on your account for 6 months - was okay to have this amount only last two months
It felt similar as when you are applying for visa to USA - you provide all documents but dont know if you will get or will not get visa - they only give you paper with date and time when you should come for your passport and hope to hit a jackpot

Does anyone know if you need to have 5000 euro whole 6 months on your account? or is it enough just last month before applaying for visa?
-
that is also good to know as I was told that for SETV I need to return back to my home country. I didnt find my home country on the list so if we have trouble with METV now we have at least other option.

great thank you very much so he can make self-assessment. and what about me? I think I am not able to write housewife :-D or do you think it would be enough just for my husband to have proof?
You need to ask the embassy/consulate you're applying at for a definitive answer. But if you are a housewife then put that on the application form and make them aware that you are traveling with your husband. As long as you can both show the money needed I am pretty sure they will grant the visa.
Why do you feel you need a METV. You could get a SETV and then apply for another locally once in Thailand. You'll have to exit Thailand anyway after 60/90 days so you could go and get another then.
I am not a housewife :-D I am unemployed from december and wanted to take some rest from corporate life SETV is not enough as we need to return to our country after 90 days and we want to stay at least for 6 months so METV sounds better for us
On the other hand thank you very much for everything I´ll call to consulate on monday so hopefully everything will work just fine for us

You are getting off topic here. Better start a new topic and state clearly what you mean when you say that your husband has his own business, eg work permit, extension of stay for employment.
I mean for METV you need Proof of employment from the employer - I am unemployed and my husband has company so what to do in this case
-
what to do if I am unemployed and my husband has his own business ? we have required money however we dont know what to do with employment?
Also consulate requires return ticket for at least first trip to thailand - so is it enough to have next ticket to vietnam and not back to our home country? Thank you very much for your help

and can you change this type of visa to non-immigrant B without returning to home country?

I have one more question how can I apply for conversion of 30 day extention visa to non-immigrant? Do I need to cross borders and apply at Thai consulat in neighbohring country? Or do I need to travel back to my home country? Thank you very much for your help

Ubonjoe thank you very much for your help

and how does it work with 30 day extention visa? I need to flight to other country (for example singapur, vietnam) and apply for next 30 day visa on consulate in that country? Also can I change them to non-immigrant visa type B?
-
yes we have visa on arrival however I wish to find a job in Thailand and from what I heard I need to work at least 3 months in company before they will help with non-immigrant visa B. I am looking for a way how could I stay in Thailand for 6 month (maybe less deppending on job hunting and probation period). So option with crossing border each month was the best way I could find for now. I would be grateful if you know about some other option.

Hi I would like to ask how many times can I re-enter Thailand with 1 month tourist visa? I read some forums about border running but there wasnt written how many times it is applicable. Also can I change tourist visa to non-imigrant visa B? I am from Slovakia.
Thanks
