Police from several agencies arrested 75 foreigners in an operation to search 110 areas around the country on Tuesday night.

The arrests were announced at a press conference at 1:30am on Soi Cowboy in Bangkok by Tourist Police deputy commissioner Pol Maj General Surachet Hakpal.

He said the arrested foreigners included people from Uganda, Sudan, India and Cambodia.

Surachet said 34 of them were charged with overstaying tourist visas, 38 with unlawful entry into the kingdom, and three for working in the kingdom without a work permit.

He said Tourist Police joined forces with immigration officers, narcotics suppression police and local police to search living areas and resorts frequented by foreigners. The aim was to try to minimise crimes committed by criminals who disguise themselves as tourists.

The 75 suspects will be blacklisted and deported, he added.

Pull the other one, I stood outside the domestic at Phuket for an hour recently, I was in one of three ques with some idiots trying to push into my que, but when I gave them the heave ho, they said oh sorry I didn't know, yeh right.

Once inside, I had to wait another hour to drop off my bag, with more idiots try to push in the que, what is wrong with people.

The recent renovation should have taken into consideration a forward extension of the terminal so as to accommodate those of us departing, and an additional 3 entrances with more staff and x-ray machinery as opposed to pocketing a lot of the money as usual, then again I suppose these clowns think farangs have patience like Thai's.

    Give me a break !!!

Out of interest what nationality were the Que jumpers?

Trump's ill-conceived Jerusalem initiative may yet have a positive consequence, however unintended.

Nothing has been as harmful to the Palestinian struggle to end Israel's occupation and unrelenting theft of territory intended for its state as Abbas' insistence on the preservation of the Palestinian Authority and the myth that it serves as "a state in formation," when it so clearly allowed Israel to solidify its occupation. Trump's move on Jerusalem achieved what years of Israel's settlements failed to do - shatter the illusion of a two-state outcome, and allow the Palestinian national movement to turn into a struggle for rights, which is to say a struggle to end Israel's de facto apartheid regime.

What is particularly significant is that the younger generation of Palestinians is opting for a struggle for equal rights in a single state. It is the right choice, for their struggle for a state of their own is one Palestinians cannot win, while a struggle to maintain an apartheid regime is one that Israel cannot win in the long run. The civilized world will come down on them just as it did on white South Africa.

My friend . Your dream will not happen whilst the USA military and the USA politically backs Israel for their own agenda. I do not condone the USA in this Israel/ Palestinian conflict at all. Nor do I respect the Israel military for their heavy military paybacks to Palestinians  who are just trying to survive. But sadly this struggle will go on and on! So sad for all.

So sad for us that watch it on TV in the comforts of a secure safe country and feel the pain for the Palestinians who are just trying to  survive and TRYING to make a homeland that they can call HOME!

So glad I moved my family to the UK no silly by-laws and whimsical hoops to jump through for the amusement of some petty bureaucrat here. We can visit our summer house in Spain if we start to get the winter blues. And visit Thailand for a few weeks before the fun starts to run out. So nice living in a democratic country with real rules and values.

True It sums up what they will lose, The Junta has lost the plot!
