  1. On and on it will go, kicking the can down the road so that the government can control more people. The deadly virus that has killed millions globally, supposedly! ( No autopsy) Billions that have contracted it and recovered, billions that have not been reported at all and recovered, millions that have been vaccinated it's time to relax all control. The risk will be there forever for everyone, for such a deadly virus you have to be tested to see if you have it is idiotic at this stage. There are thousands of diseases in the world and anyone can catch and transmit, it's your personal responsibility to do your best to lower the odds, don't go swimming with jelly fish or camping in the jungle with out protection for example. A mandatory temperature check with the security before boarding a flight is a good idea and should have been for decades.
  2. I agree 100%. The alternative of a proper election won't work, well it didn't work last time because the red shirts will win so the yellow shirts have to stop the election with nobody in charge Bangkok burns like last time. Very difficult situation, shame we/they can't have an honest uncorrupt election like the USA? Mmmmmm that didn't work either!
  3. Many ex pats die here from behaving like a teenager, jumping off balconies, drinking like a teenager, humping girls their grand daughter age. That's why they are here and hay hoe its fun, let's go out smiling! It's difficult now but it will get better or worse depending on your point of view.
  4. Kicking the can down the road again. As long as thousands of Thais pile in the dark unventilated damp markets every evening the infection rate will stay the same.
  5. Correct. At many Pattaya venues the bar girls have been more interested in their phones than customers over the past 5 years. Many just say "buy me a drink" with a face like thunder, the answer is " no, speak first like hello sexy man" they just go and play on their phones, " yes" and they sit by you with a face like thunder and play on their phones! They wonder where all the customers have gone and the low income. With the exchange rate so low post Brexit and the Covids the past 18 months, I doubt it will survive. The experienced ones with sponsors will survive until they get found out, the rest will have to work for a living.
  6. Good idea but dream on, 60% of the government have to be army so it won't make any difference.
  7. I had my 1st dose at Chaiyapruk indoor stadium on Thursday, walk in with your passport after 1pm when they've finished the Thais, Astra Zenaca, took about an hour. I believe they are still there, 2nd dose booked in November.
  8. I had mine yesterday, some friends had theirs on Monday. Walk in at soi chaiyapruk indoor stadium, Jomtien, Pattaya. Take your passport in the afternoon. It seams as they book a few thousand Thais to get vaccinated and when they are done it's free! It took me 1hr with the 30 min wait for reaction.
