While chasing the alleged suspects, RTP no doubt tripped over the brown envelopes...

Once again, our US tax dollars hard at work for us expats living abroad. The US and Eritrea are the last remaining Citizen Based Taxation nations on the planet. It's disgraceful that we have to file taxes in the US as well as the countries we live in, and get near zero benefit for it. We are third-class citizens and punished for working outside our country. Write to your senators and representatives unless you're happy being taxed twice...

I guess they all know that Tourism as they once knew it is dead. Perhaps a final parting shot at us "filthy farang" - one final fleecing for proper effect. Farming here will persevere, everything else will shrivel and die. *disclaimer: I'm usually wrong about everything, according to my wife...

A bit late to "consider" this now, yes? The damage has been done already.

But it will likely not impact the need to bring in more and more tourists from mainland China. Thailand, along with other SEA countries will become the Petri dish for the next pandemic. Throw in the ongoing pollution from burning sugar cane and methinks this is the beginning of something horribly bad...

Absolutely direct opposite of what the government should be doing - this will deincentivise most dog "owners" from registering. Free (required) registration, fines if not registered and licensed. Free neutering/spaying. Anyone think there are already too many stray dogs running around, or just me?

What good is an orgy without a bit of vaseline.
Yes, I suspect the sheer abundance of Vaseline makes it the concoction of choice for censoring online images (KY can be used in a pinch...)

He is handsome and was famous... he could get away with almost anything in Thailand besides murder, stealing, or being drunk/high in public.
Where did he go wrong?
Only happens when you steal from the rich, otherwise it wouldn't be worth the bother...

The Thais would do us all a favor if they can get rid of him the local way. Make it look like a suicide.
Exactly. Death by balcony.

Well, I guess one starts with "sleep walking" and soon that's not enough.
One moves on to "sleep stealing",
then "sleep driving",
followed by "sleep evading arrest."
I hope he gets better while "sleep incarcerated."

Okay, sorry, but
QuoteLaem Chabang station chief Anugun Preedayut said that the youths had admitted to drinking and not having a license. They were worried about being arrested so decided not to stop. No drugs were found in their systems.
Youths? Really? At what age do Thai males actually become adults? Apparently not by 20 in this case...

Exacerbated by belief that mental health issues are "family secrets" to be ashamed of. Certainly not specific to Thailand, but the sooner all health issues are accepted as equally important AND the stigma is removed, this will continue to happen. Very sad, indeed. Lives lost, families broken... ???
