The fact that you had left the country would negate the need for a 90 day report, as you would not have been in Thailand for 90 (89 really) consecutive days.

However, you may be referring about the need to report your address to Immigration? If so it is within 24 hours of arriving, though the need to actually do this depends on the area the immigration office is located in, some enforce it, some don't.

If you are staying in a hotel, then in theory they will report your staying to Immigration.

Loads and loads of posts in the Thai Residency, work permit forum about this.

It states clearly that leaving the country is "equivalent" to 90 day reporting clearly posted in large sign at the back of counter 3, however jomtien immigration are ignoring this rule and are imposing fines on people for not also doing the 90 report

  2. My observations

Wealthy tourists want exclusive and wont mix in a mass tourist centre the top ten at the moment can’t touch pattaya  (1) is los Vegas  - (10) Aspen

Family destination is mainly domestic go to Jomtien and duntan beach pattaya way to dirty

They travel in big groups by pickup truck stay many to a room eat market or bring with them so spend won’t be significant.

The Bangkok visitors tend to stay in their own condos own transport are the spenders though

Spoke to many business owner foreign investors around pattaya they accept a reduced walking street but a casino is their only saviour going forward

The sex has always being the engine here but that now being changed and going online cheap air travel is contributing to the shortage of girls around the town has made it difficult to keep girls

Massive growth in massage parlour has been the end of girls working in bars

The one thing is sure they will continue to blame the go go bars on farang thai had nothing to do with it

They will still have no plan 10 years from now except to be guided by greed and xenophobic ideals but with the zero tours back in full swing and the cities roads breaking up they will be busy.

I do know a go go bar on walking street is owned by a senior cop am sure there are more he also has a bar near my condo

Online?Did u ever try to do a 90days report online?Half of the time there website is down, other times there outdated system not compatible with win 10,or not compatible with firefox or chrome, then you think something complex like an arrival card will work?On top the data is not safe with them, they share it with whoever wants it

To be fair there less chance of scamming here is an example,

Jomtien thiven immigration require 2 forms of 90 day validation when immigration website specifies 1 and they have being fining people for not having the second 1 being scammed today already

Now they really work more slowly than before, I don't know the reason, I just know now take very long time more to pass immigration.

I concur with this i timed the last one in feb a older guy discretely he was taking 3.5mins per person ( 17 per hour to clear an average plane of 200 people would take 11.7 hours ) unfortunately i was in his queue had a lot of time to compare with an adjacent desk with a younger lady she was flying through them them need to be processing at least 1 per min

most of them are a bunch of lazy, incompetent grumpy buffoons that need more supervision

Always Check your passport stamp if you require additional visa permission

  5. yes i quite agree they are making up rules to fine people

but they are enforcing the 15 before 7 days after 90day report  even if you take a trip using the re entry permit

I just spoke to another friend he did the 15/7 after returning from a short trip to the uk

the other case 20k was not over stay he did not do the 90 day had a trip out thought it was a 90 day report he reported 90 days after arriving in the country and was hit for 20k

I don't know when they started this scam but it is extortion as i said in my last post i have never being turned over before like this year by these leeches

This from the immigration webpage for 90 day reporting. http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/en/base.php?page=90days

I was told and only heard last evening that whether you have a multi re entry and are leaving and returning you still have to 90 report 15 before 7 days after, this is double reporting in my book I am not sure if this was the case  before, i have since found out another guy had to pay 20k i guess there are a lot of retirees going to be caught " lovely jubbley "

The 2k baht to fix the stamping error was extortion. There is no fee for it.

Leaving the country ends the need for a report until 90 days from the date you enter the country. Were you up to date on on your 90 day reporting when you left the country.

left the country 31/1/17 was due 90 report 8/2/17 but was told you still have to report 15 days before or 7 days after this is not explained anywhere it is a double reporting and imo its BS no wonder immigration is packed everyday they want to try and entrap us to extort whenever hence the online will never be allow it would make it easy

ask the question many times about the wrong entry in my passport made by an emigration offical at swampy and how to fix nobody knew even a visa run company I phoned earlier

we are at the mercy of these cretins even when its there mistake TIT good luck all

  8. So i went to jomtien with my incorrect entry in my passport was told i could go to BKK and get it sorted or pay 2k here, also had to pay 2k for dam late reporting didn’t think i would need as i left thialand on a trip and had a multi re entry

I had to pay for the mistake by immigration in swampy I will from now on inspect my passport

I did not know reporting was still required when i leave Thailand on a multi re entry is that not considered reporting

The retirement visa is a joke have been scammed more times with this current visa than ever before

  9.

Thanks for coming back to me on this one yes i did buy the  multi re entry permit its a stamp on my passport valid till aug/17

so maybe its a mistake by airport immigration will go jomtiem tomorrow

question is if you have a multi re entry do you still have to do a report on before or after trip?

Planes are not allowed to take off without their full compliment of checked in passengers for security reasons. Any passenger not boarding means their luggage has to be removed from the aircraft which is very time consuming. If this was happening all the time the airlines would be shouting about it much louder than. It also means the Cambodians did not simply get lost and didn't get to the gate in time. That bit was BS

All right if you have a direct flight I like many others have a connecting flight this will  is where the impact is felt

On entry I have timed the processing always with the card filled properly 3 - 5 mins <deleted>

a tip usually try to use a booth with a lady the blokes are lazy <deleted>

  11. Previous bar name "lady joes bar" soi 8 second rd end well known for padding and over charging esan family run bar for years renowned for fiery response  to bills sometimes the bills would just be torn up in the bar and customer told to get out.

just past the bar today now named patsys bar same mo used to go in with a mate he knew some of them i never stayed long there they where an ugly mob one of them was married to a few foreigners who disappeared suspiciously  sorry for that couple

  12. From memory i have heard "go 7/11" mentioned in pattaya thai bars it was more a reference to the russians passing by who did just that... never heard of anybody ever compare 7/11 prices to bar prices and I have been in many totally don't believe her story

appalled at some of the responses having watched the video here many just trolling for sure

unfortunately pattaya is littered with brazen  yabba  thai bar owners will turn on you for the least thing even if your principled you must walk away my guess here is bar owner got caught and over reacted

what has previous reply to do with OP's topic? You only want a service by a girl and that is same as anywhere in the world. The only difference, you feel like a king with your small money in Thailand, in your country you may be just another wallet.

Ha ha the old you live here your a bar hugging cheapie charlie nice one  well can you assume all you want, I am here to enjoy more than the good weather what are you in pattaya for the culture go figure

  14. I live here observations recent and longtime

Why is it when the thia guy is in trouble with the police its usually the sister or mother pays the bail

Lots of the younger girls in bars have TBF used to be mainly go go, they cleverly start ringing the girls when they know they are  barfined and gone to your room, and in an attempt to get them to leave knowing they may still get paid.

I warn girls before barfine if their phone gets busy they will be out the door no pay mayb just 100b for taxi

Look around if you go cinema rarely see farang with lady all thai couples thai’s are enjoying a higher standard of living these days thai rak thai
