  1. This poem has helped many who are upset at having to euthanize their dog.

Brings a tear to the eye crying.gif

If it should be, that I grow frail and weak,

And pain should keep me from my sleep,

Then, you must do what must be done

For this, the last battle, can’t be won.

You will be sad, I understand

Don’t let your grief then stay your hand,

For this day, more than the rest,

Your love and friendship stand the test.

We’ve had so many happy years,

What is to come can hold no fears,

You’d not want me to suffer, so,

When the time comes, please let me go.

Take me where my needs they’ll tend,

Only, Stay with me to the end,

And hold me firm and speak to me,

Until my eyes no longer see.

I know, in time you will see,

It is a kindness you do to me

Though my tail its last has waved,

From pain and suffering I’ve been saved.

Don’t grieve it should be you,

Who decides this thing to do,

We’ve been so close, we two, these years,

Don’t let your heart hold any tears.

    Smile, for we walked together,

    For a little while.

    <snip>Sigh. More "pithy" comments deleted.

It seems to be such a common occurrence that it hardly raises an eyebrow anymore.

Agreed....you are not sure whether to laugh at the guy's foolishness,

or to feel sorry for him.

How about compassion for the fellow's feelings, maybe he really did like her and the trash box ditched him for a higher bidder; this is what these Thai trailer-trash-bags do. They also join these online dating sites looking for the aforementioned highest bidder or what these fools are called in western nations, 'buy-a-bride' men. It doesn't stop there...economies, immigration, social and political issues are affected by relocating these women (use the term loosely) into other countries and soon after bringing their families ...yuk.

Nowhere in the article does it mention she was Thai.

The BP reports that she was from Uzbekistan

  3. Hi all,

Does anybody remember Denis Leahy, the Irishman who viciously killed a Thai girl in Pattaya back in 2006, was arrested and then 'disappeared'?

Well he has just been arrested in Dublin after stabbing a woman on her way to work.

Here is the original discussion from 2006:

    www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/93463-thai-lady-murdered-in-jomtien/

And the news reports from today:

    www.herald.ie/news/stabbing-suspect-fled-thailand-after-killing-of-prostitute-30610517.html

    www.herald.ie/news/man-charged-with-horror-knife-attack-on-mum-in-city-flats-30611938.html

It's reported that he had paid €30,000 bail and then fled Thailand.

(Sorry if I have posted this in the wrong section. My first post)

Do they not know that it has been scientifically proven that a person will have the ability to stab himself in the chest only one time, two in rare circumstances due to the effects of shock.

    Really!!!

Suicide is a possibility. A guy in severe depression, perhaps on drugs (crystal meth is rife in Phuket) could slash his arms and then stab himself in the torso multiple times. Not saying this was the case, but why is everyone so eager for a murder? Too many episodes of Dexter me thinks.

Happened a few years ago here in Ireland. A guy, suffering depression, murdered his ex-girlfriends new boyfriend. Then he killed himself, stabbing himself NINETEEN times.

  5. For anyone interested, I walked into Kasikorn Bank on Sukhumvit Soi 33 today and opened an account in 10 minutes with just my passport and visitor visa.

did you get a ATM card? is it free? some other guys they said they got free atm cards, but for my kasikorn bank they wanted 600 or 350 baht for the debit card....they said they don't have free atm card...only debit card

In August I done the same on Soi 33. Passport with 30 day stamp, address of a mate in Bangkok and my mobile number. It cost about 600 baht. Got online banking and K-Max Debit Card which is also an atm card. In and out in about 15 mins. And I have found the online banking absolutly fine. Can even top up your phone from it.
