The answer is NO! BUT, in the eyes of Thai people it is perceived as such. It's shameful but true.

Thailand eyes luxury tourists, operators say keep them safe
Luxury tourists expect that they will only eat clean rats, never contaminated rats! Thailand needs to do a better job of ensuring that tourists eat only the best rats that are available in Thailand. Besides who wants imported rats when the worlds best rats are Thai?

"Elephants trampling on tourists and tourists having their legs cut off by speed boats, this won't happen any more,"
That's right, they plan to kill the tourists on the highways BEFORE they can be trampled by elephants or maimed by speedboats. After all, a heck of a lot more tourists die from Thailand's road anarchy than from these more press-worthy forms of death.

Meanwhile, drugs are an epidemic, corruption is emptying the countries coffers, the roads are death traps but . . .
the country is now safe from the scourge of adulterated durian jam. It's good that this horrific activity is being policed so well.

In other news, wealthy businessman may have his license revoked for killing people! ! ! ! An so goes justice in Thailand where dogs are valued more highly than people.

Just pissin' into the wind. Meanwhile troops on the ground will all be facing south and will try to blow the haze toward Bangkok.

Maybe Thailand should worry less about quality tourists and focus their attention on cultivating quality Thai! Seems there is a severe shortage these days.

“We did not know the bingo chips were for real trades. Those cards looked different, but seemed harmless,” an unidentified CEO said.
I guess this is an indictment against the relative IQ of Thai executives.

In other news, hoards die daily on Thailand's highways as there is no concern whatsoever for enforcing traffic laws. What the heck, as least people have safe durian! TIT
