  1. Hi.

Can anyone recommend a good mobile phone repair shop in Pattaya.

The sound on my Phone suddenly went off. Cannot get sound for anything. Tried following everything on Youtube. I have a Oukitel mobile phone.

Went to Tukom, but no repair shops there will  even touch it.

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    TC.

The price you’ve been quoted is your premium for 1 year, as in that’s what you pay for the insurance.

    Ok Thanks.

But shouldn't I pay more to meet the new 3 million Baht insurance for NON - OA

     insurance effective September 1st 2022

Also, Can i Take a 2 day trip to Cambodia then return and get 12 month extension at the airport?

    Thanks

    TC.

  3. Hi.

My Non OA Visa and insurance expires on November 1st 2022.

LMG Insurance offered me a 1 year renewal of 26,800 THB from November 1st 2022 to November 1st 2023.

    2 Questions:

My health insurance coverage should be for 3 million baht. Why would LMG offer me a 1 year extension insurance for only 26,800 THB?

Since my Non OA visa is only for 12 months. How do I extend it another 12 months.

Do I simply Leave Thailand for 1 day then return and get another 12 months stamp at the airport, after my insurance has been renewed. Or Is there a way I can stay in Thailand and get 12 months extension w/o leaving Thailand.

I only need 5 more months to stay in Thailand after November 1st 2022.

    Thanks

    TC.

  4. Just to clarify, I entered Thailand on my O-A visa. It was not extended to 2 years due to my O-A insurance expiring Nov 1st 2022.

@DRJAck54 To use Wise transfer can I just go to my Bangkok and have them sort it out. Or do I contact my New York Chase bank to have it transferred.

@ubonJoe  Can I withdraw the full 800,000 in cash and deposit the full amount in Bangkok Bank for 2 months.

    Thanks

    TC

  5. Hi. I arrived in Thailand 2 days ago. Returning after leaving in March 2022.

My O-A visa was not extended to 2 years because my O-A insurance expired November 1st 2022.

I want to apply for a Non “O” visa before November 1st to stay until March 2023.

I have 800,000.in my US bank account.

Can I just withdraw the full 800,000. from my US account and deposit it to my Thai Bank account.

What other options do I have transferring money from my JPMorgan Chase Bank account to Bangkok bank in Pattaya.

    Thanks

    TC.

Your visa is valid till November 2022 (no need for reentry permit).
When you enter in July, 2022 you will be granted permission to stay till November 2022 because of your insurance. If insurance is extended you will be granted permission to stay till July 2023 (One year from the date of entry).
If you leave Thailand again before July 2023 (Provided you are granted permission to stay till July 2023), you need a reentry permit to enter Thailand again before July 2023.

    Thanks

You are using the wrong terms. The "validity" of a visa refers to the period during which you are allowed to use it to enter the country. This is a separate issue from the permission to stay period which is attached to the visa entry.

So:  an OA visa obtained on, say,  1st November 2021 is valid for 1 year, that is, it can be used to enter the country on any day between 1st November 2021 and 1st November 2022.

Each time you enter the country between those two dates you are given a one year permission to stay. So if you enter on 1st November  2022 you are given permission to stay until November 1st 2023.

The only reason you would need a re-entry permit  is if you leave the country again after 1st November 2022. This is because, although you have been given permission to stay until 1st November 2023, your visa (permission to enter the country) is invalid any time after 1st November 2022.

So to be allowed to re-enter the country any time after 1st November 2022 with that one year permission to stay until 1st November 2023 you have been given kept intact, you need a permission to enter the country that replaces the visa. This is called a "re-entry permit", and allows you to enter and stay until 1st November 2023.

You need insurance for the whole period of your stay as far as I am aware.

    Thanks for the clarification.

So in my case if I renter Thailand on June 2022 I will be given permission to stay until June 2023.

    Correct? `

You did not need a Re Entry Permit.

The O-A Visa is valid for 12 months from date of issue.

You get multiple entries of 12 months until the visa expires.

The O-A visa expires November 2022 12 months.

If I leave and return to Thailand before the 12 months expires(get re entry permit).

Will my O-A visa be valid for another 12 months until 2023 or November 2022.

Will I be stopped airport due to O-A visa insurance expires in November 2022

  9. Purchase Non-Immigrant O-A visa & insurance November 2021 in USA. Entered Thailand in December for 4 months.

    Will renter Thailand July 2022.

O-A visa will extend to July 2023 using reentry permit.

    Will leave Thailand March 2023.

O-A visa insurance expires November 2022.

When I arrive at airport in July 2022, will Thai immigration reject my 1 year O-A extension and request I must buy a new 1 year O-A insurance.

    Thanks

    TC.

If you enter the country prior to the day your OA visa expires you will get a one year permit to stay if your issuance is valid for that long. If not you will only be stamped in to the day your insurance ends. Best to try and get you policy extended to the date your one year permit to stay ends.

The September 1st date is for those applying for a extension of stay at immigration for the entry from a Non-OA visa.

    Thanks Ubonjoe.

Will I have to buy new Covid 19 insurance on Sept 1st if my Non OA visa expire date is June 2023.

    Thanks.

  11. Hi

I have a 1 year Non immigrant OA visa.

    I am in Pattaya now.

I plan to go back to the U.S. In March 2022 for 3 months then return to Thailand in June 2022.

My 1 year Non immigrant OA visa will end November 2022.

(Q1) -When I return to Thailand in June 2022, will I get permission to stay another 12 months till June 2023?

When I arrive in June 2022 my Covid insurance and compulsory insurance of 400,0000 will will expire on November 21,2022.

(Q2) - Do I buy Covid insurance for 1 year, 2 weeks before November 22nd for the $50,000 baht or do nothing?

Regarding compulsory insurance(400,0000) inpatient. I read it will increase to 3 million baht starting October 1st 2022.

    (Q3) - What must I do on November 21, 2022?

I plan to leave Thailand for good in 7 months (December 2022).

    Thanks

    TC.

So you have done a report in person previously?

This is what you stated at the start

"As a newbie do I have to report to immigration at Jomtien?"

I read that as you have not done a 90 day report previously?

    You are correct

I have not done a 90 day in-person or online previously.

How far did you get with the registration. Were you able to log in and complete a report? Did you get a email confirming the report was done or a rejection of it. I suspect you failed to enter one of the required fields if it was rejected. then.

It would help to know what the status of you stay here. Have you applied for a long stay extension of stay?

I was able to complete the form. it was rejected due to all the fields were not entered.

  14. Dr Jack54.

    Thanks

I'm a newbie to 90 day reporting. First time using this link.

I was able to register with your link. Received my password. Then filled out the the remaining info, but was rejected.

As a newbie do I have to report to immigration at Jomtien?

What documents should I bring with me besides my passport?

Do I need to make an appointment or can I just go any day?

    Do immigration require photo copies.?

    Thanks

    TC.
