  1. Sugar is everywhere in Thailand!! I don't understand why most Thai's add more sugar to items that are naturally sweet... like fruit shakes and tea. I ordered a sliced up pineapple in a bag in Bangkok and the seller asks if I want to add sugar... funny thing that I asked for the same in the Philippines and the seller asked me if I wanted to add salt! blink.png

  2. Spent a couple weeks in Manila and the island of Palawan. Manila is the densest city of the planet, that has its good and bad areas (more bad then good I found). I met a couple of retirees in the city on my adventures that lived in the country and they didn't mind visiting the city time to time because they were hardly any foreigners around (possible for a reason). I personally that most of the city (haven't seen every part!) was full of poverty but I enjoyed my few days there in areas like Makati and even parts of Chinatown. Filipino food is no match for Thai food (my favorite) but Filipino food does have some really tasty dishes like chicken adobo!! full of flavor and chili. I really enjoyed my time on the island in Palawan as there was many untouched islands, uncrowded beaches and very friendly people. I will definitely be back to the Philippines!!

  3. I am currently enrolled at LX (language express) near the Phloen Chit BTS station. I'm impressed with the learning curriculum and the flexibility of the classes. I had previously tried UTL (Unity Language School) near the Asoke station for 1 month, also a great school but I found the material was outdated and the learning method was high paced.

My advice when looking for a language school is try a trial class!!, just ask if you can sit in the back of the classroom and differentiate between the schools that your interested in!

    Good luck!
