There no provision at this time to get around needing to apply for new extension before it expires. I cannot think of a way that they could even do that without you being in the country.
All you can do is start all over again by getting a new non-b visa.
Just getting back to the situation of having an extension due while stuck abroad with a valid re-entry permit. I heard the announcement in English where they mentioned work permit holders who aren't able to return will given a year but should return as soon as the situation gets better? It seemed to have applied to just PR holders in the first extension amnesty.
Any clarity if it applies to all non-immigrant visa holders with reentry permits stuck abroad now?

Will there be any consideration for those who have a yearly extension (work visa) due in the coming month but are unable to come back in time due to the flight cancellations caused by covid19?

Agreed, it is not enforced uniformly. But assuming a situation where it is enforced and going by all the posts, it does seem conclusive that next day is fine or still a guess ? (Arrive 6 am on a Monday and report at 9-10 am on Tuesday)

You have 7 days after your arrival to submit TM30 at immigration after being out the country
I was told that by IO at Chiang Mai ,and have done my own TM30 3 or 4 days after return ,with no problem
Yes, i’m assuming next day should be fine -
I always arrive back in Thailand on a Friday evening. I go to Phuket immigration on a Monday afternoon. No problems, so far.
Yes but in that case you could argue that it was a weekend. -
Each office has their own enforcement time-period, and reports indicate these vary over time even at the same office. If doing this the first time, and w/o a recent report on your office, the only way to know for sure is to report at your office (best within a day), and ask the person who handles TM-30s at that office (not front-desk staff) the time-period allowed for future reports.
Yes i have reported my previous arrival -
Happened to me. I reported 28 hours later without any issue.
Having said that, Jomtien have verbally told me any time within 3 days is acceptable.
Thank you, sounds like next day is totally fine then.

You sure you need do tm30 at CW.
I’m not sure if it is enforced but just in case, so, yes -
If i arrive at the airport at 6 am, would it be ok for me to report tm30 the next morning (8:30-9:00 am) at CW immigration? Technically that would exceed 24 hours but would still be next day.

Maybe others will share their experiences about leaving during the grace time. It has been discussed here already, maybe do a search if nobody else reacts.
Yes, my bad, should have searched before posting. Seems like its been discussed quite a lot on the forum.
Turns out, will have to report 90 days. 7 day grace period wouldn’t apply under these circumstances.

Yes, nothing at the airport. Just concerned about the next 90 day report. Travelling on the 95th day, not sure if that would be late or well within 90 + 7 days leniency.

OP, I have always been confused about this. Are you returning to a residence you live at in Thailand after some trip away? Why is tm30 required at some imm offices and not others?
I think by law it is required. The degree to which it is enforced varies, i guess -
Since i’ve read you’re allowed to report no later than 7 days after your 90 day period has expired.
I’d be flying out on th 95th day after my previous arrival. I’m assuming i would be fine without getting the 90 day report done?

Logically, no, because immigrations office are closed on weekend. Ask by phone to be sure. For safety i went directly to the police station when they started to be stricter about it (It' written on the paper you can do it there in cas no immigration office or if they are closed). Had to be the main police station of the district and the policeman there was more piss off than me because nothing was computerized so he had to write it down on his lob book. It was few years ago.
Thank you -
They will not fine you for going on Monday if you arrived at your residence on a weekend or holiday,
Great, Thanks! -
If the arrival is on a Saturday morning, i’d have to wait till Monday to be able to report to the immigration for TM30. Would that mean exceeding 24 hours and hence, being fined?
-
Ok, thank you for the quick response as usual.

Is the proof of ownership document from the landlord required for TM30 or Thabian Baan would be enough?
-
No.
Only foreigners with temporary permission to stay need to be reported.
Great, thank you! -
Since you have PR it really does not matter which address you use on the TM6 since you do not need to do any reporting to immigration.
Ok, Thank you, appreciate it. -
Blue book, holds a PR.
-
In case of having more than one address. One with my name on the tabian baan and the other where i stay most of the times (no name on tabian baan).
A little confused as to which address would i have to mention on the TM6 form or could just mention any of the two?
Both seem correct to me.

As the housemaster on the tabian baan, is it required for me to report if the person staying is a PR holder?
Work Permit holders stranded abroad?
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Posted
I was wondering what would happen to non b visa and work permit holders if their visas and work permits are expired while they are stranded abroad.
Would they have to start the process all over again or they could get a temporary entry and apply for an extension once they are in Thailand.
I am concerned since that would break the requirement of having consecutive three year visa extensions to be able to apply for a PR.
Any info on this would be appreciated.
