  1. Ah yes the low leg kick ( Tae Tad ) is priceless.

I made the mistake of having the Thai characters for this tatooed on my left arm whilst drunk one day. Now everytime it is visible to Thai people I get a huge amount of interest which occasionally ends up in a forced demonstration.

    D'oh :o

  2. You have to remember that they are the toughest people on earth and the smallest skinniest little Thai dude is capable of kicking almost any farhang ass...even a prize fighter.

Hmmm , like to see that one proved ! :o

Granted they are tough people , but having trained in a boxing camp ( Sityodtong ) I can safely say that there are tough Thais and un-tough Thais.

In a scrap situation they will probably put more effort in than a tourist/expat  because they have less to lose, but if they receive more than they expected they will back off like any other race.

  3. Rented accomodation is easy enough to get in Bkk, as long as you know where to look, ( agencies etc) , its probably best to book a hotel for a couple of nights and ask around.

Regards where to stay longterm , do you like beaches/cities/neither etc ?

Personally I would do a mini tour of 4 or 5 places that fall into your criteria, then make a decision based on your own experiences.

    Have a gret time!

  4. TBH getting married  in Thailand and getting a visa  for the UK are two different things.

To get married in Thailand would take next to no effort, if you wanted to return to UK as a couple, thats another story.

Rephrase your question if thats the case , I have experience in this field ,as do many others here.

    :o
