Well, be prepared to pay quite some taxes on that one. The regular non custom shop retails for 3190 something dollars, the custom shop one goes for 10K and the premium custom shop goes for 50K.

It's not the actual greeny reissue. It's just an R9 in poppyburst that kind of looks like greeny to me. It is a left handed model.

Why not pay the duty instead of trying to get around it? They are charging that for a reason. You’re not buying locally.

I wouldn't mind paying customs if I could be certain what the price would be in advance. From what I've researched, and confirmed in this thread, is that customs can and will attach any value they want on an item and I can't afford paying full price twice. One option I didn't mention is that I just won't buy the guitar, which is most likely. I just wanted to see what others may have experienced.

  3. Hi, I am looking for ways to import an expensive used guitar over the 80K baht value. From what little I've researched of shipping, the customs levies are often arbitrary and can be 100% of value? I've also considered flying in with it as carry-on luggage. I've also wondered if any music stores or importers might help with shipping. Anyway, I thought I'd ask if anyone has any suggestions or experience with this process. Thanks

  4. There are “Gold Master” kiosks in few select malls in Thailand that sell 99.9% gold items. Their prices are primarily the gold weight as in typical 96.5 % gold shops.  There is a comment on their FB page that states their pieces don’t hold value. The commenter said he was offered 50% his purchase price. I’m just curious how that could be as long as the gold weight is the majority of the price? I can understand losing 100% on the design markup.

  5. I’ve done all the paperwork myself for 4-5 years now on extension based on retirement. I’ve got the funds. I don’t want to complain with all the little details about the 90 day system and staff training yada yada you know the details but the little stuff is just starting to get to me. I wouldn’t mind paying extra to avoid treking to CW so often. Maybe I just need to hire a driver with a nice car. I really had the feeling this year they were trying to tell me to use an agent. I am just curious if there is a service that can make it easier even if you are doing everything by the rules.

I finally got around to checking this place out on 11/03/20 and was given a 5ml bottle of 1:1 THC/CBD mix.

The place looks a million dollars and everyone is professional etc....but lets be real,  none of us really care about that type of thing.

As for my review....it works as advertised but the potency is too low. I don't have a tolerance and I did it in the way they suggested by putting it under the tongue. I used 4 drops (they recommend one) and I'd say my level of buzz was 4/10. Comfortable and chilling but not exactly reaching for the doritos.

The price for the medical certificate, blood test and 5ml bottle was about $4300 bt.

Anyways, while I'm complaining about the horrible price to potency ratio...perhaps someone could advise where I could get a cheaper, more potent alternative (preferably by line and post) now that I have a medical certificate that proves I need.

    Cheers.

I’ve read online that vape is the most effective delivery mechanism but since that is illegal in Thailand I’m not sure if there is some way to mimic that. Also, if you are after the high you should probably get the pure THC version. They have that as well.

  7. Hello, I know nothing about vaping but I recently read that the best way to process CBD oil in the body is via Vape. Is it possible to buy a Vape thing in Pattaya? I thought I've seen them for sale but then once I started earnestly looking I don't see them anywhere. I recall reading it is against the law to bring them in (?) but just thought I'd ask... Thanks for reading

Yeah sorry about that. Maybe I had beer goggles on.

While I'm here perhaps you can explain. How easy is it to change which imm office you obtain your extension. Meaning say you live in bkk and staying for a period in Pattaya. Wanting to do extension there. What do you need to do?

The OP implied visiting Pattaya for few months. Did not mention where normally does his extension. Perhaps it's the first.

Thanks for trying to help! I'm sure you meant well.

depends on what you need.  local branches only have limited access to the databases.  not sure if it's 90 days or six months.  older transaction info has to be provided by the branch maintaining the account.

for example if you're at CW and need a statement showing funds brought in from outside of thailand, but your account is at silom and the funds came in outside that limited window.....

maybe they could fax that to your local branch, but would not be immediate.

I walked over to my nearest branch and they said no problemo for my particular needs. The lady told me no need for advance notice or anything. We shall see Monday or Tuesday morning when I actually try to lay hands on it.

So if someone bought a re entry permit when they got their retirement extension and few months ago and was planning to use their re entry permit to get back in to Thailand worry free after going back to the US for Thanksgiving holiday should they now be worried about being denied entry back into Thailand after their holiday even if they have valid retirement visa extension , valid re entry permit they purchased and stamped in passport , 20,000 baht in cash and over 6 months left on passport before it expires if they don’t buy this insurance ?

Compound speculation on speculation. Head explodes!

You should be able to link it to Line Pay like a regular Rabbit card.

You'll have to go through the pain of registering for Line Pay mind ????

I've not been able to sign up for Line Pay (LIne app says LINE Pay Not Supported when I try to register) but my Line account is associated with a US number. I'm wondering if I transfer to a prepaid Thai number, do you think I'll be eligible for Line pay?

  12. I assume that the rate/balance would also be checked at any interim balance check such as the 90 day after extension checking that some are being required to do?

Is the plan that someone from immigration will actually somehow obtain your balance at an interim point, or will the retiree be burdened to provide? Seems like a very bizarre thing to try and do
