It will be interesting to see what actions are actually taken and programs put in place by the Ministry, education provided beyond the basic Govt now provides?. Perhaps English speaking will be enhanced and encouraged since that is currently another very much needed tool for the near future to be up to speed with the other Asean conference countries.

I strongly disagree with Inspire Mag calling Songkhran a WATER FIGHT EVENT! here in Pattaya possibly encouraging added extra chaos and dangers upon our City for now about 9 days. The Buddhist Festival itself which in many places other than Pattaya is celebrated for a day or two and can be a quite enjoyable experience. But add a large quantity of alcohol and very drunken and over zealous lot of folks with nothing else to do i believe it truly becomes an unsafe event for many others who would like to just carry on with their daily routines. I myself have been forcibly knocked off my Motosai along with my girlfriend and incurred about a months need of bandage care luckily not all too serious. So fellow Farangs when you are a bit tipsy and feeling like it's a fight take care and remember this is not a FIGHT but a Religious event. Have fun and take care!
