One point I forgot to make

because of the interest in soccer

you may find a bar with satellite

but when the rugby time comes

if it clashes with the soccer they may

not switch over

Always check with the management well in advance

I can help re. Phuket, depending on where you are staying. If you go to The Black Cat restaurant in Cherngtalay (about a 3 minute drive from Laguna) Philippe will be showing the matches on big screen TV. He is a rugby nut himself, and the place is very nice.
