The afternoon I went for a walk in Bangkok city wearing no underpants (Too bloody hot and sweaty), after I'd mixed up the cialis and cholesterol pills!

Just had another look, construction work around pier at Hua hin coming along well , should be decent area to arrive/ depart from, and ok to use now.

however only information in entire area is a small 6x4 " notice on glass door of newly built " holding bay" saying Hua hin to pattaya ferry, and telephone No!

Now don't know if it's advertised in some local rag, but if I didn't hear about this service in TV , wouldn't have known it existed.

suggest that 99% of people here in that "boat!" No nothing about it!

no advertising, no information, equals no customers!

Does this mean they run a free shuttle bus from depot to clock tower, and visa versa?

OKk, read a lot of negative comments from people who seem to know a lot about such ventures and how they are doomed to fail, but want to know this if given choice of this new ferry service or going all way by 'minivan', which do you choose? How would the stats and recorded data show the comparison of accidents and chances serious injury using either transport, please give factual arguments please!

Just to clarify, If I come to Thailand on 30 day visa exempt, and visit neighbouring country for a week , coming back to Thailand for last days, do I have to get "new" visa exempt , or will my original be sufficient given I still have plenty time on it???

Using Thailand as base want to visit surrounding Asian countries. Don't like using cards, what's best way of obtaining foreign currency, have Aussie dollars and thai baht to exchange.

Have Bangkok bank account, asked them to organise "standing Order" to pay rent regular, but said no! Landlords account with different bank, they only do if in same Bangkok bank!   Is this a common rule with other banks too????

I acknowledge that based on TV reports that paranoia can sometimes be generated, and yes so far haven't had tremendous problems with being ripped off, as I have accepted it is Thai way of life!

How about taking phone photo of bill and 1000 note next to it showing serial number, do this in front of person taking money, may deter light fingers

Use worldfirst to transfer from Aussie bank to Bangkok bank, at 15 AUD, a transaction, through through in couple of days.

Uk based firm , so should be able to do same via UK bank I would think.

Although it's part of all Asian life we have to accept, there acceptance of grubbiness, dirty habits, and complete disregard for environmental cleanliness is still disappointing.

Do appreciate the clean, fresh streets and beach areas of Australia, just wish the Thais would love their country enough to respect its environment!

Given the lack of interest by some embassies, does anyone know of a really "good" farang friendly lawyer who you could ring if you get into trouble and look like heading to jail unjustly!
