What a great idea if the farang is fluent in English! I would love to find a job teaching English in Pattaya; however, I have found nothing.

I wonder if the government will ever realize that the farangs were the ones keeping this city going. Visa requirements are still not very friendly.

I have 40 acres of ranch land in northern Arizona near Winslow that I would sell for $3,500.

Can anyone believe anything that China says? Lets invite them back now!

Does anyone know what happened to the lab that was just a couple of hundred meters east of Beach Rd between Soi 5 and Soi Six?

Oh, they finally acknowledged that 'maybe expats matter' (MEM) and we should be treated a bit more like citizens; however, if things ever return to some resemblance of normalcy, I'm sure the discrimination will prevail.

I wonder what percent of Chinese tour group money actually stays in Thailand?

Don't you just love this ludicrous thinking: "Most foreign nationals will not be allowed to enter Thailand for most of this year, though it is believed that Chinese tourists may be allowed into the country by July as the number of infections in the country is under control." Are the members of 'TCT' that naive to believe China's numbers and that they actually have the pandemic under control???

I don't have a problem with that form of punishment. I'm 77 and since our gym is closed I'm doing sets of 15 to 20 pushups several times during the day.

Thailand must "proceed with extreme caution to avoid sparking a second-phase outbreak that could swamp the health system with a new wave of cases"; however, let's encourage the Chinese and Koreans to return ASAP!

Despite many foreigners helping Thailand in ways such as volunteering and keeping the economy going, we are the most discriminated against. The current dilemma here is a perfect example of what happens when foreign money diminishes. And we have to 'jump through hoops' in order to remain here, e.g., having to prove that we are bringing in ฿60,000 per month when an educated Thai person makes about ฿15,000 per month.

Has anyone heard of reductions in transfer fees on real estate sales/purchasing? A realtor told me that the tax was reduced on low priced homes/condos; however, still remains at 6.5% on the higher priced properties, 3.25% if owned longer than 5 years.

Just a little too late...should have stopped the Chinese from coming here two months ago.

At ฿40,000 per lie, where is the government going to get all of that money to pay their fines?

Does this ruling apply to our junta?

Thailand just doesn't get it! Let's continue to make farangs 'jump through hoops' in order to stay here and spend money generated from abroad. Take Pattaya as an example...many of the Thais who had been supported by foreign money have gone back to the villages to survive on the land. Albeit things are particularly bad in the tourist cities, there are still a number of farangs that live here and spend money every day at Big C, Tesco, Makro, HomePro, Foodland, 7 Eleven, FamilyMart, Lazada, and the restaurants that are still open...money that we are 'bringing in'. Some are renting living quarters, others are paying condo HOA fees. I for one am paying ฿9, 300/month to help keep our staff members working, in addition to paying numerous utility bills each month. Thailand's only motto: "Ask what farangs can do for us, not what we can do for you"!

Thailand's greed for the RMB (and other foreign currencies) is just beginning to show its ugly face!

Let's continue to 'welcome' in all of the Chinese that want to come here! Thailand wants your RMB.
