  1. After reading all of the posts here, it seems that 99.9% wanting to get rid of the soi dogs are foreigners, and I would also say that all are men. I say to you this is not your country and if you don't like it go home. It seems that all of you complaning are from the Issan area. Most thai people have no problem living with the dogs. Being married to a thai for a long time and staying there for a while I had no problem with the dogs. This is not about people eating dog meat, it is about how they are being killed that is the problem. And to all of you I say I hope someday you all come back in another life as a dog and be treated the same.

  2. May I say it is always the foreigners that do the complainig. This is a buhiddist country and the thai people are ok with it. I believe people should have their pets spayed or netured and slowly it is happening. To those foreigners who shout kill the strays they are no good, go home and live in your own country. I have been there many time and have walked past strays in front of houses late at night never had a problem. And for those who say we should feed the kids to each his own. The animals have no voice. Parents responsibility for kids. I know there will be haters but I could care less, it seems the guests in thailand should learn to accept the thai way or go home.

  3. it seems that the dog has more maternal instinct that the 6yr old's mother. Who leave a 6 yr old alone???? Would you say the same thing if the kid wandered off and into the street and got hit by a car? Whose fault would it be then?? If the parent cannot watch kid because they have to work then they need to have someone else watch her. Construction site you say maybe they should have left the kid with grandparents like the others do

  4. Another bleeding heart saying that people turn to poaching because they need a better life. People do it because they are like drug dealers and pimps the money is good. There is no punishment for what they do they are usually let go. Make an example give them a harsh sentence and make they serve it instead of cutting it down. I have no sympathy for these people and I would cut off their hand so they couldn't do it again. Follow the money and it will lead to some high profile high ranking officials.

  5. It seems like the only people complaining about the dogs are the foreigners who live there, mainly Issan. I would say to you if you don't like the dogs go back to your own country where you are free to complain. Most thais have learned to live with the dogs. This has become a business for the corrupt officials and I believe that if you follow the money it will lead to high ranking officials, same as the elephand and tiger poaching that is being done. I find this practice appaling and the foreigners complaining also.

  6. When I asked my husband about the looks, he basically said the same thing, that it is unusual for a farang woman and a thai man to be together. He also said many people think why would this woman leave her country and come to stay in thailand? We are both in our 50's. He likes to joke and sometimes says he is my tourguide. I do agree the thai men are more positive I have seen a guy riding a bike older man with a thumb's up to my husband while the young women are mostly the ones I get the looks from. I don't go looking but I can't help noticing, especially when shopping. I usually just put a big smile on my face and continue on my way.

  7. What do thai women think when a thai guy is walking with a falang female?? I would like to know. Since I am married to a thai guy and have been for 35 yrs, when we walk in bangkok and other areas I get the looks, stares actually. I am curious just what are they thinking?

  8. I would like to add my 2 cents. I met and married a Thai man in the US 34 years ago and are still going strong. I have to admit I am partial to asian men and I don't care for caucasian males. We plan on retiring in thailand and his family just loves me to death. We have 2 children and I would not trade for anyone else. Granted he has been in the US for over 30 years and that may be the difference. He is kind, considerate and understanding. So I would say go for it but do your homework first.
