how does "forex" register with Thai authorities, lol.
no, it's the financial intermediaries, banks, brokers, etc. that require registration and licensing.
this explanation is simplistic and most likely yet another journalism failure.
ok mr jolly forex is registered with thai securities

Not under government control. Outside of the realm of taxation. No official is profiting from this. We cannot control it.
All of these things are bad for us. We do not like this. And, we like all that money that we were able to confiscate, without having to return it to the rightful owners. All in a good days work.
You are on fire today Mike I love it lol

They are called Binary Options becuse you essentially "bet" on the exchange rate going up, or down.
It's a legitimate form of Forex trading and seen as a agetway to a alrger exposure on the Forex markets.
The leverage is scary though and you can lose your shirts with a few points move in the wrong direction.
They are totally illegal because they are not registered with Thai securities Forex traders are Forex works on a leverage of 1.1 to 1,5 This mob i don't know must be high

Last time I was in Laos was talking to this Danish Guy and I said to him You know I never understand if you get your visa application in early in the morning why you cannot get it back in the afternoon and not stay the 1 night. He said they tried it once and the Thai Gov was fine by it but the Laos Gov was not due to the fact the motels were complaining they were losing business due to the fact the farang were not staying overnight So I guess they are using these visa runs to make a few bucks I don't mind because I love the Beerlo In Laos So much better than Thai Beer. That is why I love it here because I can adjust to any situation

I have not am not sure why they are making problems at the airports. It seems to be just a small group of officers making the problem since many people enter without a problem.
Vientiane does not ask for financial proof to get a single entry non-o visa based upon being married to a Thai. Same for a single or multiple entry non-o at Savannakhet.
There is no 2 entry restriction at land border crossings if you have a valid visa for entry. That is only for visa exempt entries at land border crossings and it is 2 per calendar year.
Thanks Jo as usual that helped me a lot One last question On a tourist visa how many times per year can you extend that visa by one month

That is one of the reasons I suggested flying domestic to Udon Thani. That way you enter and depart at the bridge in Nong Khai.
You could also fly from BKK or DMK to Vientiane and enter via the bridge and fly back from Udon.
Why are they making it a problem flying into Bangkok if you have to many stamps You are flying to another country are u not? Also Joe when u go for a non-immigrant visa O class in Vientiane for 3 months how much money do you need in the bank I know its 400,000 if you are married for 1 year but for 3 months i am not sure and just say i did fly domestic to Ubon Thani and crossed into Laos via bridge would the embassy in Vientiane accept that as flight or class it as a land border crossing given the fact you are only allowed 2 land border crossings per year to renew your visa

Savannakhet Joe I applied for a tourist visa Well that is a new one on me First time i have been asked that I did not bring it with me but i guess i know to next time Might as well go for a non immigrant O visa then

I am sure many people from the countries allowed a visa exempt entry have gotten them without a problem.
People from some of the countries you mentioned get a 30 day visa exempt entry. See: https://www.laos-guide-999.com/visa-exemption.html
You go directly to immigration and you will get a entry stamp with the allowed number of days stamped on it.
Joe i am actually in Laos now. Yesterday i went to get my tourist visa and the guy at the window asked me fro my financial statement Is this normal from now or he was was not knowing what he was doing? The guy behind me was in the same boat he said to me later he has been never asked for financial statement for tourist visa.Anyway he let me of the hook because how was i supposed to know i needed that Strange sometimes Non-Immigrant O yes but not tourist i feel

My problem with going back to Australia is everything is so expensive, particularly housing and water/power. Against that, my medical costs are almost free there, and the doctors don't think they are gods.
I can live well here in Thailand. In Australia, my diet would probably be toast and bowl noodles.
Shake hands mate you think the same as me You just can't afford to live in Aus

While i got you chatterboxes here anyone interested in sharing a car with me doing a visa run from Ubon Ratchathani to Savannakhet Laos next Tuesday 24th Returning 25th
-
2 minutes ago, ubonjoe said:
Going on the 25th would not be a good day to do it unless you could get to Savannakhet early enough to apply on the same day. The consulate will be closed from the 27th to the 30th for Thai holidays. Open on the 31st. If you applied on the 26th you would not be able to to pickup your passport until the 30th.
You could take a bus or van from the main bus station here in Ubon. When you arrive at the bus station in Mukdahan you can get the bus to Savannakhet from there.
Thanks, Joe I will take the car on 25 th Much quicker and i usually get out of bed early anyway Don't fancy staying Savannakhet for 3 days

I know of no quicker way to get from Mukdahan to Savannakhet. Perhaps if you could arrange for private car transport across the bridge. But it even then chances are your would not make it because of the time it would take to clear immigration and get your Lao VOA.
Most people that have been flying in do it the afternoon/evening before, spend the night in Mukdahan and cross the bridge early the next morning.
Ubon Joe I need to do a visa run on the 25th July From Ubon to Savannakhet I am thinking about taking the bus this time can you give me an idea how i do this run and roughly the cost. I know i have to change bus at Mukdahan to get over the Friendship bridge
