You could apply for a 60 day extension to visit your wife for a fee of 1900 baht.
You would get 7 days to leave the country not an extension after applying for one and paying 1900 baht when the application is denied.
Thx,but how much hassle is it to get this extension?

Hi,
I am currently on a non-immigrant o One year extension based on marriage and was wondering if it is possible to get this extended for another 30 days!?
I just need a few more weeks before I leave the country and I don’t have the money to extend it for a year so I am looking for a cheap solution
Thank you

I dont knw where you get your informations from, but you should find a new source!
You need a work permit and you can not take a job from a thai!

I was quoted between 8900 and 10000 Baht for the service, seems quite high.I would like to go with an agency just because my time window is so small,(money in bank since 5.july,visa finishes on 7.sept)are there any cheaper options?

No, it doesn't mean that you have to have 30 days left on your permission to stay, you can apply up to the last day (in your case September 7th). It just means that you won't get your new extension there and then, but will have to come back 30 days later. You are allowed to stay in Thailand until you get your new extension is given (or, unlikely, the extension is denied), even if that is later than your current permission to stay date.

Thanks man!A answer to my question!I got in contact with a few agencies, and just for my peace of mind let it do somebody who know whats goin on! thx for the help

Belt the other option which is not savory .is pay a service say 30 to 33000 baht to get documentation showing that you have the required amount. And then they will get you the Visa. That's what my friend did he went to a Visa service here in Chiang Mai paid 33000 and they got him a retirement Visa and the one-year extension

After you apply and they accept the application you will get a under consideration stamp with a report back date on 30 days from that day. Then you go back on that date to get your one year extension stamp after the application is approved by immigration division 5 headquarters in CM.
If it is your first extension they may do a home visit during the 30 days.
I am reading this in great horror...i want to do my extension on 5-6.sept,my non-o finsished on 8th august and my visa stamp from the border ist until 7th sept....i know i am late but i had a little problem to get the 400k..does it mean i have to have 30 days left on my visa entry extension??or do they extend my visa for the consideration time??Damn!i could have gone for a visa run again, but deicded against it as i need the 400k for living.help very much appriciated!
