I've never seen mine explode in anger.....She'll get quiet for a day or three while she accepts, or reasons things out...Possibly her career refined her over time spent working...Our 2 teenaged daughters are turning out the same.....

The other Thai women I've had never got squirrelly either.....

My ex american wife did, however 1- throw a tv at me, 2- hit me in the face with a hot iron as I walked past, 3- attack me from behind a door with a carving knife, 4- claw my face to hamburger while I was sleeping in bed, 5- walk up behind me in a hall way and start punching the back of my head while I was trying to comfort her daughter (locked up and rocking on her knees in bed crying emotionally overburdened by her mom's irrational behavior).....Circumstances dictated that I had to bide my time = in the end I took custody & raised my own daughter from 3 months on + I made sure that her daughter went to live with her father before I was finished with that monster.....There was plenty more besides that along the way....

I've paid my dues & after that - one unexplained/unreasonable/questionable incident from a gal = out of there......

I agree it's the Wuhan flu, common sense says when you have an assortment of wild and exotic animals being slaughtered under the one roof you are going to have blood splatter, animals that were sick or had a virus will be slaughtered and cut up while the next table is chopping up bats for soup and then another one is cutting up pork which looks fine but a small cut piece was splashed with blood from a nearby table.

Water hosing with infected blood and the butcher doesn't even know he's infected from the animal so he in turn passes it onto others.  imo ....   it's not a sterile area so what do you expect will eventually occur ?

should never be allowed to run these markets should torch the lot of them

    I had a dream...

They should remove the sex bars from the Walking Street and create there a nice area with things like restaurants, small shops and sea view. The bars can be outside Pattaya where only people go that want to go there - there is no need for a beach location. They should move also all other red light areas from the city to this new location and create a paradise for people looking for something like this without disturbing others. Of course there needs to be good and cheap public transportation to this entertainment area. This bar chaos without zoning would come to an end and everyone could be happy.

I dont agree with putting the mongers out of the way, pattaya survives mainly because of it being a adult Disneyland saying that Walking Street lost its charm 20 years ago so yeah get rid of the place and do whatever to it ha ha

The nickname Naan Plaza killed it before it started

Ha Ha for sure doomed to fail, That Avenue whatever goes up comes down a few months later, nothing has ever worked there except for maccas, villa mart and the cinema, i liked it more when that eyesore wasn't there, anyone remember the hotels that were there i stayed at some early 90s but cant remember what the names were

Yes, Pattaya has always bounced back, but I think it will take a long time for this bounce back to come, and the bounce will not be so high.

if it works out that way that will be awesome

A lot of posts claiming Pattaya won't be the same and that tourists have been ripped off for years?

Great hotels for around 1000 B or less (DHotel and example), food is very cheap if you shop at the right places, 10 baht for a ride on the 'baht bus', beers still around  45 baht all along new Plaza, Soi Bukhoew, etc, female company still 2000 baht LT, full body massage 300 baht, taxi to BKK 1000 baht, clothes, shoes all cheap, pharmacies not expensive, 7/11 etc all cheap, obviously the exchange not as good as it was 10 years ago, but you can still have great cheap holiday compared with getting the same services in Europe etc.

If you're getting ripped off, you're allowing it.

Pattaya will be back to normal.

main thing stuffing it up is the high baht how the hell is it staying so high, Oz doller is at the same level it was at in 1990 the first time i come to Thailand

It was us 'visiting western sex tourists, old farang slobs and worn out clapped out divorced bitter men' who actually put Pattaya on the map and brought a degree of prosperity to a little unheard of village that went on to become a city.

In the '80s and '90s Thailand was a very poor country and the money we spent on our holiday which we'd often taken many months or possibly a year to save up for made all the difference to the Thai people who worked in the tourist industry of Pattaya. And to a large extent that of their families up in the villages as well.

Even these days many working men still save much of their income simply to spend a few weeks in the resort that they have come to love and regard as a second home.

A dirty little overpriced town with air pollution in the danger levels, what makes everyone think pattaya is such a hot commodity? ( apart from the prostitution? )

( apart from the prostitution? )   thats just it it was around for that purpose only, if not for the mongers the place would not and will not exist and here we have people being disgusted with this well alls i can say is dont come here

and the lives of all locals there that are now left with nothing but unfinished worthless construction projects, empty casinos and destroyed beaches and nature that will prolly never recover. At least the expats there can just move on...

And yes, that's the reason why i don't like chinese, indian or whatever mass tourism and thailand should be damn serious about waking the fak up and making it here more sustaintable or the same will happen.

I went there in 2004 was a great laid back place

  11. The way I see it tourists retirees etc will stay away in droves as well as making it difficult for falang to stay in thailand no one will want to come to thailand, except for Chinese Indians and other nationalitys which come over on package tours and do nothing for the economy, Thailand will crash in a big way like what happened in the mid 90s the bhat will go back to its former glory and be awesome to come back

  12. It requires a lot of running around and it is not cheap !!!!!!!!

When you have it you may be taken a little more serious and those circumstances will come on your way, garanteed.

    it was not cheap ??

I paid less than 100,- thb

how much you would pay in your country ??

Its pretty cheap it didn't cost me a single baht lot of running around back and forth though.

I think if i read these posts what its actually good for i would not have bothered with it however my wife pushed me to get it (must be good for something that us falangs don't know about)
