Four reviews locked up for a weekend on the Island where the hotel owner is local royalty, threatened with two years in jail, lost his job
Would you recommend shackles on the way to the airport?
he is a dangerous criminal, went to Jail for 5 years and later pulled a gun and fired rounds at 2 bars while wasted.

Wesley Gene Barnes is an American citizen who worked as a teacher in Thailand while the world was battling against the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. He made headlines after posting a negative review of a resort in the Southeast Asian country.
According to Barnes, he got the teaching job in Thailand on a tourist visa and obtained all of the documents from his school to apply for a Non-Immigrant Visa-B. He said he received a letter from Thailand’s Ministry of Education informing the Thailand Immigration Bureau that he was allowed to apply for a a Non-Immigrant Visa-B in the country due to COVID-19.
Barnes was on visa amnesty, his tourist visa expired on May 9, 2020 and his immigration office is in Samutprakarn, Thailand, he said. Here are 13 more things about him:
- He was born on May 2, 1983.
- He is related to Lilian Barnes, Quintin Barnes, Kayla Barnes, Christel Barnes and Montana Barnes.
- He is 5’11”.
- He is originally from Pine Bluff, Arkansas, United States. He lived in various parts of Kansas including Lawrence, Olathe and Manhattan.
- After driving under influence of alcohol or drugs on May 8, 2004, he was jailed in a state prison in Kansas on August 02, 2004. He was discharged on February 3, 2009.
- On October 17, 2017, he claimed that he was a federal agent while inside Bobby Baker’s Lounge at 7418 Wornall Road in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, USA and showed a witness a handgun. He told the same story at Waldo Bar at 7438 Wornall Road and opened fired after being kicked out from the bar at about 1:00 a.m. on October 18, 2017. He opened fire again at 1:30 a.m. on the same day at the QuikTrip at 10232 Wornall Road. Police traced him through a credit card he used at the bar and on October 19, 2017, Jackson County prosecutor Jean Peters Baker charged him with two counts of unlawful use of a weapon and two counts of armed criminal action.

Well, that translation may as well be in the original language, Serbo-Croat or Mandarin. I wouldn't be any the wiser.
I do hope that something has been lost in translation.
Its the same quote The Phuket News is twisting into "Songkran OK"

USA on a 30 day exempt that I already extended for 30 days. They ask me for my flight ticket out and to show it was cancelled. Since I hadn't booked a flight yet I could not show them a cancelled flight and because there are flights to the USA it was a no go.
I still have some time on my exempt, so Im weighing my options.
In Phuket BTW

You guys in in for a rude awakening as I went through this on Friday:
For People on Tourist Visas:
You can only get this extension if you already had a flight booked out of the country that has been cancelled, or if there are no flights available out of Thailand to your own country.
This is the only way to get the extension, not I don't want to go home, not I'd rather stay in Thailand, not it's too expensive for me to travel, etc.

I think many are missing the point. The new requirements effectively block all visitors to Thailand. Exactly what the government intends. They know it's impossible to meet the requirements.

So if you meet the requirements for your extension, there is no issue. Who would of thought?

anytime anyone wants to photocopy your id or passport, you draw 2 diagonal lines on the copy and then write in Thai what the document can be used for.
You never ever give anyone a blank copy of your ID, Irregardless of where you are in the world.

just pay 3000thb and never report. Job Done,

We get lots of these birds... and also black winged stilts, on the abandoned rice fields next to my house. I love hearing them and watching them going about their business. Its like a nature documentary sometimes around here!!!
The bird noises never bother me... even the owls and Asian Koel birds. My rooster make a racket.. but even they don't wake me up or disturb my sleep, but I do wake up if the birds are making a different noise, like alarm calls... because some predator is about.
The only noise I can't stand is the 5am loud speakers from the temple.. which rattle our windows and vibrate the walls for several hours. And the new Indian Meditation place playing Bollywood style music and blowing trumpets all afternoon several times a week at full volume which can be heard over the TV!!!
Give me nature sounds over human 'music' any day.
Move, Easy, Nice way to change a thread about wildlife into your own personal gripe.

I learned tokay, but my wife says you are correct. I have 2 that live near the kitchen but sometimes they wander down to the chicken/duck yard. I love them, huge geckoes that often munch on the hundreds of ordinary house geckoes. Thailand, stick a twig in the ground and it grows, walk outside and experience the insect life personally. And I do love it.
they are solid relaxed bros's

I have a toukay population of at least 6 on my porch, we are bro's.
We say what's up every morning, none run away.
It's all good.

I think this is your culprit. English name Red Wattled Lapwing. Sound of bird starts around :50. It's incessant nighttime crying isn't year round. If you've been hearing it for a couple of months, suspect it should be ending before long. According to video written narrative (:50), recording made during nesting season.
This is correct, its the angry bird, and they get angry especially when they have children. They are great birds, especially if you live on a big piece of land. They alert you of visitors. Even more cool about them, you can make friends with them. They will recognize you as not a threat.

First, get professional medical advice. It is your health and far more important than a work permit. Do not seek medical advice on a forum (i.e. prescriptions from anonymous posters) . Third, be honest with your doctor. They will tell you what is or is not possible for your situation. Go see Dr. Donna as ricklev has suggested.
you can predict the future? Please let me know your bank account info, I'd like to send a donation.

Oh the way, do you think I need to tell her honestly about my situation? Or shall I just go there and let her find it out first before I can tell the whole story? I don't know her and she doesn't know me. I don't want to appear as if I am trying to manipulate the entire situation at my benefit and at the expense of her expertise/profession.
Sent from my iPhone using Thaivisa ConnectHow are you manipulating anything by telling a receptionist you need a work permit medical?

Just now, ricklev said:
Or Dr. Donna at Medconsult Asia.
That would be the easiest and best solution. Just go see her. No need to stress about it.
finally, a voice of reason. It's a stamp on a piece of paper.
Advantages to Increasing Capital in a Thai company
in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Posted · Edited by xvend
Hi,
My current Thai company has a registered capital of 2mil. I am investing more of my own money in equipment and renovations of 8mil. I do realize that by increasing registered capital to 10mil my tax on profit increases from 10% to 20%.
Our accountant for this reason is discouraging us from increasing registered capital.
I do know one advantage of increased capital is I could hire more foreign staff.
What are the other advantages to increasing capital?
Thank you
