Has anyone had dealings with Tefl Int and Is it a good a program? I did a search on it came up with very little all I found was BKKPhils comments on ajarn. Thank you for all your help again.

Carrefour if they have one in bkk have some ok deals. I agree on the smaller shops I have seen much better prices in those.

My wife just took the Tesol course at Stamford College. If anyone is looking for a top notch course this is definately it. I will be taking the course myself after seeing how meticulous Jeff is and it only cost us around 26,000 baht. Another nice thing is that Hat Yai is a very cheap place to live while you learn. The link is on Ajarn if you want to check it out.
Alright I am done boasting on the course.
Thanks for everyones help with finding the right course to take for my wife.
If anyone needs any help finding things when you come to Hat Yai just pm me love to have a beer or something.

Ok Ok you twisted my arm a free beer or 2 it is just pm if you are intrested

Hello
I was just wandering if they had any welding/machining vo-techs in BKK? If so what would the costs be for a farang to attend?
Thanks for all the help
-
Have a question kinda off subject. How easy is it for me to enter a welding vo-tech in Thailand?
-
Don
Thanks for the info
We might just have to check it out ourselves usually things end up fine and dandy airplane tickets are cheap enough.

My wife made some friends from BKK we were going to check it out first. If it did not suit our tastes then would be looking at maybe Chiang Mai, Hua Hin, Chiang Rai, and some other options. We did not want to pin ourselves down to just one place if you know what I mean.
To all others
Thanks for all the info about to look at that link Spaniel thanks again also going to google some those other places. Only have 18 more days till D-Day yip-eeeeee

Tesol course I know I know doing the English Teaching bit but a man has to pay his way somehow. Was actually also going to see if they had a welding vo-tech in the area if I found it safe enough. Not to actually do in Thailand as a profession just wanted to brush up on my skills.

My wife and I are looking at taking the Stamford College course in Hat Yai. I wanted some honest appraisals of the situation in the south from people who actually live there. Is it currently safe to be in Hat Yai area for about a month or 2?
-
Thanks Spaniel
I will definately take a look into that when you post the web addy.

good ole american lazzines lol . On the longer term it would just give us time to find where we wanted to live with no attachments 2 months deposit stuff like that. Where would you recommend?

Finally did it my wife and I booked our tickets to Thailand. We leave May 3rd and arrive May 4th in Bangkok. Hope to see some the TV member around maybe stage a piss-up who knows. Anyone have any good recommendations for guesthouses near the airport reasonably priced? Yes I have googled it and searched it on the forum. Just want to get some of your honest opinions on the guesthouses maybe one with a long stay option around 250-400 a day or 6,000-9,000 a month.
-
Thank you guys for your replies. It is really making the transition of moving to Thailand easier.
Hope to get to meet some of the TV members in person here soon.
-
Thank you
The one reason I was looking at Stamford is most people seemed to give it the ok. The other reason was for me and my wife to take the course with accommodations would cost the same as taking one course in BKK. I guess we shall sit in on the TNT course and see if it will be worth the extra outlay of funds.

Does anyone have a definite answer on Stamford College? Yeh or Nay is Hat Yai safe enough for my 20 year old wife and I? Or should we just go to either Text and Talk Academy or Tefl Institute?
Ahhh so confusing and yes I have googled, searched the forum, and looked on Ajarn.com.
Thanks for the help
If the Stamford is on the up and up seems like a good option price is really nice.

Sawasdeee krup all
I am 27 from the great state of Texas and my wife is 19. We got our apartment broken into all most all of our belongings were stolen. Fortunately it was our apartment maintances fault for leaving our door wide open over 3 days so we got some money from that. Always wanted to do some travelling been doing research on thailand for a long time so we decided to take the plunge. Should be moving to Thailand in the next two months when we have all the loose ends tied up. Probably moving to Chaing Mai hope to see some of you around maybe have a Piss Up .

Thank you all for the feedback. It seemed like a way to work and earn my qualifications. Allowing my wife to work part time till we both had qualifications. Unfort I decided not to take the Stamford course when my wife did. Bang up course would recommend it to anyone.
