This is really dumb but how do I connect to Thai TV? I connected my TV to the cable spot in the wall, but found zero channels when I scanned.
I have a new smart TV. Do I need a separate box?Getting crazy lag with vpns

I know these two vehicles are on completely different ends of the spectrum. However, because of the tax laws or something, they are similarly priced here.
Ranger seems more suited for Thai roads, higher seat positioning for visibility. And apparently they’ve improved their ride quality.
And they’ve got a decent amount of tech, even in the lower trims, but nowhere near the Yaris top spec unless you spend 1.1m
But harder to park in the city. And I really don’t need the bed. And we’d be comparing a two door manual in this price range.
The new top spec Yaris looks incredible on the interior, and has all the modern tech features. And the ride quality probably isn’t that great being an ecobox anyways.
It definitely depends on the lifestyle, but which would you go for for 700k?It seems like for the mountainous rocky roads of Thailand, the Ranger will have more useful features.
I don’t really need to upgrade (mazda2 sky), but I do think about a truck sometimes for fun.

I've heard there's some sort of arrangement where you can fix all your small scratches once per year.
Does this count as a claim that will affect future rates?
Did I completely misunderstand?
Thanks

I was thinking about making one order from Amazon just for fun.
But what’s actually worth it after all the fees?
Clothes is mostly what I’ve seen so far I think.

I recently got a ticket for 130+ kmh in a 90 around where the Superhighway meets the 1141.
But I'm pretty sure I've gone fast on there with no ticket.
Does anyone know at what speed the camera issues tickets?
No irrelevant answers if possible.

Thanks Pib for the help! It sometimes felt like different banks gave different rates, however I never did the math and checked properly. (Definitely no DCC, and could just be normal fluctuation)
Definitely seems you know more about this though haha.
I've actually also got Schwab. I'm trying to fund my new Thai bank account. I guess withdrawing at ATM and depositing the cash is the best solution?
Anything weird about our taxes because there is no trace it's coming from my US account?
Thanks again

Figured this was the best place to post this.
When I withdraw from my US bank account, which ATM should I try to use?
How does that rate compare to these money transferring services (TW etc)?
Thanks

I can get a 2015 Almera/Ciaz
2012 Mazda2/Brio/Yaris
2010 City/Vios
These are just examples, but anyone got a suggestion on what to buy?
Edit: Or should I spend 150-200k on an even older model?

My guess would be cheap falang food and drink and predominately falang customers.
I am actually OK without most of the farang customers, or the average food.
However, most places of the Thai places don't speak English, and some don't even have an English menu.
But if anyone knows any English-speaking local spots, I am open.
-
There are a few Thai places near me that do 3 large beers for around 170, but sometimes I want to go somewhere that doesn't see me as an outsider.
Many farang places charge almost that much for 1 beer.
Gekko garden is good about their drink prices, but I'm struggling to think of any farang spots that matches their prices.
CM Saloon in old city was doing some deals of 70b Chang and 50 baht well drinks before 7pm.
Or if anyone can suggest some Thai spots where we are welcome, English is spoken etc.
I'm a Sangsom guy if anyone has any tips on cheap bottles.
Please try to avoid the cheap charlie comments, believe me I know it. I just thought those of us who like a deal could share a couple spots with each other.

It has finally come time to visit Vientiane to get my ED visa.
Couple quick questions for the veterans:
1. Do I need to get the application form and pictures done before I get in line at the consulate, or can I walk in with nothing and get it all done inside?
2. A poster mentioned a way to skip the line here: https://forum.thaivisa.com/topic/1024786-visa-in-vientiane-how-to-get-it-early/?do=findComment&comment=12707179
Does anyone have any more information, where exactly this service is offered?
Thank to all in advance

I have heard that 2 liters is kind of an unofficial limit for alcohol.
Can anyone support or deny that claim from knowledge or experience (no speculation people 555)?

I was riding pillion on a bike, which got in an accident near Nimman. I was hurt and the police told me they were gonna help me, but it turns out they charged me with drunk driving instead and made me pay for the damage instead of finding the real culprit.
Super professional....

I want to stock up on some medicines and I want to know where is the best place to buy in bulk.
I have heard there's someone near Wararot market that sells to a lot of the pharmas in CM, and the prices there are better.
Any thoughts?

I was reading FB post where people were saying that, when applying for the SETV, you can show proof of leaving within 90 days because of the extension.
I always showed within 2 months (BS anyways) but does anyone know for sure?
What about visa exemption, can we show onward travel (if asked by airline or on arrival) within 60 days because of the extension?

you might be able to find somewhere quiet in Chiang Mai Land that's empty or the end of that street with orchid and the tower.
In terms of that area

I am looking to buy some medicines in bulk. Normally any pharmacy has reasonable prices.
However if buying in bulk it can make a difference.
Does anyone know where I can buy medicines at cheap wholesale prices in Chiang Mai?
Thanks

Yes in Mae Rim. Will you go there to do it or is that too far?
Sent from my iPod touch using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile appThat probably would be too far. I was looking for something that would make the process easier.
Was that a real post, or was it a bullshit response?

anyone find any service to do this for you?

Yes of course you don't go through immigration at BKK you are transiting. Why buy ViP at CNX? not needed in my view and I have come through countless times.
Just spoke with another PG rep on the phone who said I will be going through immigration in Bangkok first.
I hate how 2 people from the same company can say 2 different things here...
How confident are you that I can transfer to CNX without passing an immigration checkpoint?

Any word on applying for an e-visa METV, after doing a few years on ED visas?
I've heard immigration is kinda trying to "punish" people who had ED visas and Volunteer visas.
Is this really an issue? Has anyone heard facts about been rejected from getting the e-visa?
