  1. Sam bought 3 players in January that no-one had heard of & they all paid off. Plus he had Defoe's goals. Terrific work.

I like that defensive central midfielder, German(?), forget his name. Decent. Defoe showed as well there's life in the old dog yet.

Jan Kirchhoff. I didn't rate him when he was first signed. He made some big errors in the early days, but he's fitted in well now and is a good asset to the club IMHO

  2. Hope you found something - most bars other than the multi-screen sports bars would have been showing Liverpool v Everton. CTH relegated the true match of the evening to its most unwatched channel, Channel 1 - usually the home of mullets and short shorts (70s football regurgitated).

If you missed it and are craving a replay then Mulligans in Sukhumvit soi 11 Bangkok or Witherspoons (sic) in Soi Bukhaow Pattaya* will probably show it today a couple of times, but you might have to sit there all day to find out when it is. Typically replays are 10am, 2pm or early evening. You can ask the falang boss/minder, but replays are notoriously unscheduled on the Premier League TV carrier CTH here and they may struggle to give a worthwhile answer

PS - you arrived on a visa waiver, not a VOA if you are a Brit (can't imagine Sunderland has any foreign supporterssmile.png). Never mind - on the football threads we expect Makems not to know their proverbial from their elbow!

*Probably somewhere along soi Bintaban if in Hua Hin. Pose a question to Smokie via private message for a location if you are on Kho Samui.

Edit: CTH's programme schedule shows a replay on Stadium 1 at 21:00, but it will probably be on stadium 6 at either 09:30 (most likely Liverpool's game), 11:30, 13:30 or 16:00.

Thanks for trying to help me SS...much appreciated. Not all of us maccums are as thick as you think we are. I take any such comments as friendly banter.

  3. Yes you have good advice above from expert. Even after that you could also fly out and back for another visa exempt stamp. Depending on how many exempt you already have. Note UK presently have visa exempt for 15 days to vietnam. HCMC good choice. Good alternative for your setv if policy does not change for UK pp holders

Thanks for that jacksam. I was already planning to visit neighbouring countries, so your info is good for me.

    • You can extend your current 30 day visa exempt entry by 30 days at an immigration office for 1,900 baht.
    • At the end of the 60 days you can travel to a Thai Embassy/Consulate, in a neighbouring country, and get a single entry tourist visa (SETV).
    • On entry with the SETV you'll be granted a 60 day stay. That 60 day stay can be extended by a further 30 days at immigration for 1,900 baht.

Waaay Ta very much for the very fast reply and extremely helpful info.
