Meanwhile Bang Saray's Seafood restaurants continue to serve locally caught/dredged produce.
Specializing in squid--"plaa muk" (ink-fish)?

Why is nobody wondering about hanging himself with his arms handcuffed behind his back? Isn't that suspicious?

How about recycling? Return them to Rimping, Tesco, etc like in the States. Nothing easier to recycle if you have the opportunity.

Just checked, and sad to say there were over 40,000 traffic fatalities reported in the US last year. But that was full reporting, not done with smoke and mirrors. So twice as many traffic fatalities as Thailand, but with 4-5 times the population. Maybe because police actually get out on the road and enforce laws. And in high density states like New Jersey, U-turns all done at cloverleaf intersections with traffic lights. The U-turn you have to take to get out of my tambon in San Phiseux is absolutely deadly--from a fast lane to fast lane on a blind turn, often blocked further with cars and SUVs sporting tinted windows...and the damned motorbikes that pull up next to me on both sides, seemingly wanting to die... A quick fix--every U-turn should be at a red light or controlled intersection...

Problem is what goes up comes down, and maybe on someones head. Dangerous practice
Was a big problem in LA twenty years ago on New Years Eve. People were getting killed and hurt until a billboard campaign--what comes up must come down--started waking people up! A band mate of mine got hit by a ricochet just sitting in a coffee shop. Luckily he was wearing a leather jacket...

Looking for husbands!
Shortage of men in China, one child policy was a disaster.
actually a shortage of women because many girls were placed in orphanages and adopted overseas, which a good friend of mine did twice. raised two great daughters in north carolina. belongs to an association of other adopting parents.

BEWARE there will be a lot of vehicles up for sale in the Bangkok area with owners claiming “ free from any water damage “ . Instead of spending billions on old submarines from China they need to be sorting out the flood issue in BKK otherwise in 50+ years the City will be underwater
maybe the submarines are part of the solution--for top leadership?

it's a good move keeping guns out of the hands of foreigners after what we saw with the old rabid aussie yesterday
so we need to ban farangs from owning machetes as well? what about portable power drills? great for opening coconuts if you don't have a machete, but still dangerous if they get into the wrong hands.

TRUMP : America's great, isn't it? It's Yuge. And how about where you come from? I hear it's only about the size of Texas. But you've got some great golf courses over there, don't you? That's what people are saying. People are always saying that. Maybe you'd like to see ours while you're here? They're bigger. Trust me. They're huge. Believe me. And that Tiger Woods. I hear he's half Thai, isn't he? Maybe you'd like to meet him? I have him on twitter. He's a follower of mine. I'm pretty sure he voted for me, too. That's what people are saying. You should also have a look at our Constitution while you're here. It was rigged it a long time ago so that you don't even need to get the most votes to win. Yeah, it's true. It's great. No more worrying about those red shirts in the north. And it's all legal over here too. Believe me.
Brilliant! Did Alec Baldwin write this?

Sorry to all of you who want him drawn and quartered. He could not have done more than a spot or two on that wall. Clearly (to someone like myself who has lived in NYC and LA), many styles here, indicating many graffiti artists at work. Alas, in LA it can be an art form. This is crap. Chiang Mai can do better!

That is wonderful news.
However, I hope it is a speaking test and not a written test.
It amazes me that the bar girls in pattaya all speak excellent English to emulate their job.
But a highly educated government worker can't put 2 words together.
Transform thailand to be English speak, the economic rewards will be had by all ?????
So maybe retired bar girls can be offered jobs teaching English?

I spent a month at a Thai forest monastery--Wat Pah Nanachat--thirty years ago researching a book. An unexpected positive outcome for me personally was a loss of craving for alcohol. I'd had at least a drink a day, usually more, every day of my life since I went off to college. Living in an environment where everyone--monks and laypeople alike--refrains from intoxicants made it easy to abstain the month I was there. But, thankfully, I never had the old craving again. Unlike working a 12-step program, I have been able to enjoy a social glass of wine once a week or so, but with no desire for more. I won't claim this will work for everyone. Good antidepressants have come along in the past 30 years as well, which also helps reduce the craving (and makes taking a second drink rather unpleasant--too much of a quick buzz!) But a close family member, ten years younger, stayed with booze, started mixing in street drugs, lost a good job and was pretty well washed up in his fifties...
