Jingthing, funny when it is factual information but it conflicts with your preconceived bias, then it is propaganda. In the USA we call people who provide no factual "evidence' to back their preconceived biased opinions but treat their own "opinion" as if it was handed down on two stone tablets as the word of God Demagogues. as handed dow Since you labeled what I factually presented as "propaganda" I challenge you. Show me where Trump did not win the majority of the counties in the USA. Show me where the popular vote if you subtract the black and hispanic population did not go overwhelmingly for Trump. Show me where the majority of the black and hispanic population is not on some sort of public assistance. Show me if you eliminate the votes of only the major metropolitan areas in the USA that Trump did not overwhelmingly win. Show me the statistics that show that the USA does not have the best economy in the past 50 years. If you can't then you are just blowing hot air with nothing to back it up. Propaganda sir, is false information, not facts that conflict with your bias.
Well said.

Petition our home countries to apply the same rules and track Thai nationals every step.
That would get their attention much more than this petition lol

my danang dentist always messages me after work that can lead to pain like a root canal or when i broke a tooth. over the counter codeine can be a blessing and commonly available at every pharmacy.
Also Ponstan 500mg which is available everywhere.
Had some major dental work done on one of my kids and the work was excellent and cheap, ponstan did the trick with the pain afterwards.

Has anyone come across a site that is similar to farang deaths, a site that reports the poor souls who've departed ?

You are most welcome. Not only was the info directly from their website, the source is about as credible as you can get, The Overseas Security Advisory Council of the US Department of State's Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS)
The poster that that called validated information from this trustworthy source "fear mongering" is being very irresponsible. Not sure why he is so focused on gossip and hearsay and refuses to address facts.
Excellent source and a must read for anyone considering a move, talk and a step down.
In comparison to Thailand I wonder why anyone would ever dream about relocating unless they are desperate.

Not sure where Equador is but the country of Ecuador has an extremely high crime rate with travel advisories from many countries.
Instead of fake news, at least post some independently verifiable data to back up your claims. Here, let me show you how it is done.
https://www.osac.gov/Pages/ContentReportDetails.aspx?cid=25911
Excerpts (direct quotes from website)
There is serious risk from crime in Quito. Crime is a severe problem throughout Ecuador.,
Pickpocketing, purse snatching, robbery, and theft of travel documents are the crimes most commonly committed
Pickpockets and other petty thieves are particularly active in tourist areas, airports, restaurants, bus terminals, public markets, and grocery stores, and on public transportation and crowded streets. Criminals frequently target backpackers and travelers carrying laptop bags for robbery.
Violent crime has remained high over the last few years, with U.S. citizens reporting crimes that include armed assault, robbery, sexual assault, home invasion, and, homicide.
Armed or violent robbery can occur anywhere in Ecuador. In some cases, robbers have used motorcycles to approach their victims and flee the scene. Criminals have robbed tourists at gunpoint on beaches and along hiking trails. Many robberies take place on/around public transportation, particularly buses. Criminals rob those who have just finished using ATMs or exited banks.
Robberies and assaults against taxi passengers (secuestro express) present a significant safety concern, especially in Guayaquil and Manta; they have occurred in Quito as well.
Carjacking or thefts from a vehicle have occurred while stopped at intersections.
Incidents of sexual assault and rape continue with frequency, including in well-traveled tourist areas.
Crime occurs throughout Quito; there are no low-crime areas.
Excellent post.
Thanks for sharing the link.
Crime is rampant in that part of the world, a mega turn off.

I don't like Guyana the women have a lot of junk in their trunk. Huge back ends & I hate fat people.
So for now Guyana is off my list.
Apologies for the late edit but I missed the edit time.
I was mentioning the fattie we knew and she was from Ghana not Guyana - easy mistake.
So Guyana is back on my list.

Almost this entire thread has been a myth, filled with misinformation, unsubstantiated nonsense, and hearsay, but I think that was the whole point in order to keep it going. How about some more Mexican food videos, haven't had any of those for a few pages now?
+1
On the topic of Mexican food, what's the Taco Bell experience like in Mexico ?

But I read they are moving to Latin America 5555555

To make it Latin America centric topic. How much more would you need to retire in Latin America than your home country?
I can answer that.
To retire in LATAM I figure my monthly spend would be 3.75638% less than my spend in Thailand and 11.32822% less than my home country.
Hope that helps ????
What blows the budget is the private security guards for the compound and bullet proof glass for the car.

YES - don't move to Latin America, Thailand is great!
After thorough research i have conducted for years, this is my findings...
Any questions pls ask, i'll be more than happy to answer.
Thank you.
I'm curious, in Thailand I have encountered a few clazee farangs, I believe some should be medicated.
Would you say LATAM attracts more of these mental misfits or same same as Thailand ?

Ok after 60 pages, time to wrap this thread up. Let me summarize. A bunch of chicken-hearted expats who have zero intentions of relocating to Latin America want to instead post a bunch of pictures about Mexican food while discussing healthcare. Misery truly does love company!

If someone is truly interested in moving they will find accurate information and it ain't here.

The answers you will get are from people googling stuff. Why not do that yourself?
You're right, Google is our friend.
I did a quick search on moving to LATAM and suitable Kevlar jackets for safety and came up with all kinds of options.

Whats changed ? put your 800k or 65k in and your sweet. Or are you somehow being targeted by thais? in which case you should look at your own behavior. The rest of us live in peace without any more drama than anywhere else.
Yep and the rest is just noise.

Expats in Thailand considering moving to Latin America?
Don't you mean Jingthing and a few Americans are thinking about it?
Why don't you stop thinking about it and just do it. You've had long enough to think about it.
Not a chance I'd step foot anywhere near the entire region, been there on biz and visiting my family (who are getting the hell out.)
Escobar wannabes, express kidnappings, scopolamine, armed gangs, fake cops, terrorism threats, street crime, extortion, muggings, pickpockets, don’t go out at night, drugs, avoid using your cell phone in public, political instability and the list goes on and on and on.

Before moving here 3 yrs ago I lived in Colombia for 5 yrs. Ecuador for 2 yrs. And Panama , Mexico , Costa Rica as well. I came here to los after a yr. in Cambodia. And I'll be honest the moment I stepped off the plane i didn't feel welcome. In time i learned and that foreigners arent really liked here esp caucasion. They are tolerated. BUT THEIR MONEY IS VERY WELCOME. Its obvious by the b.s games , hoops and hurdles immigration is constantly pulling . I know at least ten people who have left and more that are packing including myself.. of course im gonna miss this wonderful Chiang Mai weather
Leaving for vietnam for a few months and then Oaxaca Mexico.. In Mexico /Panama/Ecuador/ Colombia you dont have to deal with this garbage and I can keep MY money where I WANT to.
You sound like my brothe, however he did it the other way. He and his Colombian partner met in Hong Kong and then moved to Vietnam, back to Colombia (hated it), Panama (acceptable) & Costa Rica for the last 4 years. He would actually stay there however his partner is sick and tired of Central and South America.
Their best friends own a small B&B in Morocco (Tangier's) and they've spent the last 3 months there and absolutely love it. There is a new flight from Miami to Casablanca and they plan on returning to Costa Rica and making the move in mid-August. Easy visas and foreigners welcomed.
He has been to Thailand a few times and has the same opinion, money money money money.

I got a PM saying he's doesn't appreciate being called a bully.

Come to think of it, doesn't sending a PM like that constitute bullying ?
