Fitting a GPS tracker to a car will not stop accidents, the only way to stop accidents is to educate Thai in road safety, which will be a challenge in itself as most Thais not really care about that. Also having mandatory yearly car checks to improve road worthyness, again people will probably find a way round this.
This is a good way to drive down car sales.

Would Cardiff Consulate be nearer?
Book appointment, they will make visa while you wait.
All visa applications go through the London Embassy now. At least that's what I was told.

I guess you are unlucky then or somehow attract attention. Either way it will add a whole one minute to your busy schedule.
They may well introduce a custom declaration form, who knows. Didn't they use to have one years ago?
In the 10 years since I started coming here I have never had to fill a custom form in

but I think many would like to see a nice list of which things are prohibited except the ones we al know , more specific about food ,….. meat I know is prohibited because the English mad cow disease history from years past ….. and can cost a heavy fine .., but what about dry foods or vacuum packed food ?
A summary would be the least they could produce to not give the extortion attitude !
A list would mean that they have thought this all through properly

Of course there is. You collect your bag from the carousel and take it to the red channel.
If you take it and go through the green channel you'll be stopped as your luggage will have been flagged.
Really it's no so hard to understand is it?Then why not just install the machines at the different channels scan each bag as it goes through?

in the five years I have been travelling monthly through Swampy (rough guess - 40 times) I have never, ever, not even once, had my bags scanned. What I said was in the airport I use in Myanmar EVERY bag, including carry on is scanned. I get my bag and walk through the green lane as do 99% of other people. the only people I have seen selected for screening are usually Asian (Chinese) with bags and boxes piled high on their baggage trolley.
Just to get the 'the Thais hate us crowd' baying for blood, all of those approx. 40 entries were all on 30 day visa exempt entries.
Well I have been stopped every time I come through Suvarnabhumi. Whether it is alone or with my Thai wife.
Regardless of this it still states that the x-rays will be installed on the baggage carousels so unless the Thai government introduce customs forms along with the TM6 on arrival there is no way to declare that you have more than the allowance allowed

If it is anything like Myanmar, you get your checked bags and walk to the machine. Both checked and carry on bags go through the machine You are there when it happens. Some posters allude that the bags may be x-rayed before the carousel. Unlikely in my opinion as it would be a major exercise in man power to watch the progress of a suspect bag all the way until a passenger removes it from the carousel.
The article states that the x-ray machines will be a installed on the baggage carousel. What you are stating here is what I have been doing at Suvarnabhumi for the last 2 years or longer.
Claim your bag go to the customs channel and get your bag scanned

You are allowed 1 litre of alcohol, so yes if you declare it you may be charged duty. if you don't declare it and get caught you are looking at up to 10 times the dutiable rate and possibly prison time. I doubt if they'll lock you up but that's he law as it stands. Big signs all over the arrivals hall.
If the X-ray scanners are going to be on the baggage belts BEFORE customs how do you declare that you have more than you are allowed? Another question what about something like Robinsons Cordial/squash? (Sunquick is far to syrupy and sweet for me)

You can still obtain the Non Imm O ME from other Thai Embassies/Consulates other than the UK.
Savannakhet or HCMC are the most common, with no proof of funds required.
OK, thanks for that info

Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question, so if you bought 3 bottles of wine at an off-licence in the UK (as it is cheaper than buying wine in Thailand), put it in your suitcase with these new x-rays machines you could be charged for importing them into Thailand?

I am married to a Thai national but work in the Oil and Gas industry, so I am home for 5 weeks (give or take a few days) and then go back on work on a Seismic vessel for roughly the same period of time (again it depends on the vessels location).
Before I used to get a Non-O ME as I always have one way tickets into Thailand, just wondering what my options are now that the government have removed the ME Non-O.

Does anyone have the name and number of an electrician who can come and check the electrical wiring out at my wife's house?
We need someone who can come out within the next two weeks.
Thanks

OK, just want to make sure that I am understanding this right.
I arrive back in Thailand to stay with my Thai wife, I have to fill in the form and then take it to the Immigration office.
When my father and his girlfriend come out
we have to do the same. Then we go somewhere else for a few days and the hotel informs their local immigration office. Then we go back to our house andhave to re-register again(3 people, me my father and his girlfriend) then we go to Bangkok for a day the hotel informs their local immigration office. Then we go back to our house andhave to re-register for a third timethat we are now back there. This is what the Thai Immigration want us to do.
Seems very unnecessary this
OK ?
OK,
But would I not have to register at our home again (since I would be there for about 4 weeks) after leaving the hotel in Bangkok?

There are websites where you can go an find people to form a fireteam, The problem is that they all want people whose Guardian is 320+ light level and various other requirements. To get better weapons you need legendary marks which you get by completing Crucible matches, Heroic Strikes and other PvP activities
This is the part of the game that sucks
-
It took me a while to get into the game as well but it's a good game. Problem is that you reach a stage where you need fireteams to complete quests.

Hey folks
Looking for players to join/create a fireteam for Raids, Strike, Nightfall, Crucibles etc...
